Bring a cooler and some snacks as we are  doing a late lunch.

I have a hankering for some of Kowalonek's Kielbasy - by far the best place on earth to buy it.  So I'm going to take a little trip and asking you to come along for a drive and stop at a few place along the way.

We will meet at 8:30 at the Limerick Square Shopping Mall - Texas Roadhouse off the 422  Royersford exit.

We will then make our way to Bethal Pa and gather again.  From there I'm going to take you on route 125,  which is 31 miles of switchbacks all through the mountains almost into Shamokin.

From that point we will take an eerie drive through Centralia - once a town, now just a place with just streets and sidewalks and no houses due to the underground coal fires which continue to this day.

Then onto Kowalonek Kielbasy Shop and more than just Kielbasy - and since it is not Christmas or Easter it should be  easy to get it...though parking is a different story - we'll just take over the town for 30 minutes or so.

The trek continues and since we are in the heart of Pennsylvania Coal Country we might as well stop and take a tour of a the Number 9 Coal Mine.

After the tour its onto Orwigsburg and to the Brickhouse for lunch - fantastic burgers and  such - dutch treat - and then home anyway you like or maybe some ice cream at Heisler Cloverleaf Dairy.
