Get psyched, and prepared, for your SoloPro Driving School!

Requirements:

Students must be 16 years of age with a valid drivers’ license.

Cars must be able to pass a safety technical inspection.

High center-of-mass vehicles (e.g. vans, SUVs) may not be used.

Helmets must meet current SCCA specifications for Solo Competition.

Make sure your tires have sufficient tread depth to handle more than 20 runs.

At each SoloPro Driving School safety is the number one priority.  All safety regulations provided at the event must be adhered to.

No consumption of alcohol will be allowed during the event.

Make certain your vehicle is in optimal condition and will able to pass a technical inspection (including, but not limited to, the following):

• Tires properly inflated
• Battery secured
• Brakes in good working order
• Throttle return working properly
• No loose wheel bearings
• Loose items removed from passenger compartment and trunk

Suggestions:

Prepare for all types of weather (i.e. bring sunscreen, rain gear, cold/hot weather clothes, etc.

You may wish to bring your own beverages to ensure that you say well hydrated.

You will be a passenger with your instructor periodically throughout the day - if you are prone to motion sickness you may wish to take necessary precautions.

During your course work assignment never turn your back to the car. Exercise caution when resetting cones.

Please be prompt.  Typically gates will open at 7:00 a.m., cars should be prepped and ready-to-go by 8:00 a.m. (Note: times may vary – please check with the host prior to the school).

Loaner helmets may be available. Please check with the host prior to the school for availability.

Car numbers may be required at some schools and should be legible from 100 feet (masking/painter’s tape of contrasting color works well).
