IIRA Weekend: January 10th & 11th
IIRA's Saturday events include both wheel to wheel racing as well as an open track day. Throughout the day, the course will be used for alternating wheel to wheel and open track sessions in the afternoon. All wheel to wheel entries will be allowed on course during open track times.
This Sunday's event is an all day open track day.
Participation on both days is not required - come join us an do as much or as little ice racing as you want!
All events are subject to ice and weather conditions. YOU WILL ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE EVENT AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED, so you will not pay when you register. Your credit card on file will charged on the Monday after the event takes place.
Location is still to be determined. All venues will be within about a 1.5-hour drive from the Twin Cities. This event will be updated as soon as the location is confirmed.

- Madison Lake (near Mankato, MN)
- Pokegama Lake (near Pine City, MN)
- East Rush Lake (near Rush City, MN)
- North Center Lake (near Lindstrom, MN)
Entry costs:
- $100 for Saturday Open Track Day entry
- $180 for Saturday Wheel to Wheel entry
- $100 for Sunday Open Track Day entry
- $80 for annual license
- $45 for weekend license

- 7:30 AM: Check-in and tech opens
- 8:30 AM: Driver's meeting
- 9:00 AM: Wheel to wheel practice
- 9:15 AM: First wheel to wheel race
- 9:30 AM: Open track session
- 10:00 AM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 10:30 AM: Open track session
- 11:00 AM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 11:30 AM: Open track session
- 12:00 PM: Lunch break
- 1:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 1:30 PM: Open track session
- 2:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 2:30 PM: Open track session
- 3:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 3:30 PM: Open track session
- 4:00 PM: End of event

- 7:30 AM: Check-in and tech opens
- 8:30 AM: Driver's meeting
- 9:00 AM: Open track time begins
- 10:30 AM: 15 minute break
- 10:45 AM: Open track time resumes
- 12:00 PM: Lunch
- 1:00 PM: Open track time begins
- 2:30 PM: 15 minute break
- 2:45 PM: Open track time resumes
- 4:00 PM: Event complete, take down/pack up
Event requirements
An IIRA license is required for all drivers participating in wheel to wheel and open track events. Multiple licensed drivers may share a single car entry. You can purchase an annual IIRA license here.

All wheel to wheel cars are required to have a Flagtronics FT200 transponder. There will be a limited number available to rent for $50 with a $300 deposit.

- Wheel to wheel racing (Saturday): Studded tires required. No tires with studs protruding more than 7mm from the tread are allowed
- Open Track (Saturday): Studded tires are optional. No tires with studs protruding more than 7mm from the tread are allowed
Helmets:
- 2010+ SNELL rated helmet or newer
- ECE 22.05 with manufacture date newer than 2015 (Know where your manufacture date is located before going to tech)
- Passengers are allowed provided they have an approved helmet.
