HDRPCA 2022 Crater Lake – Ashland Tour

Description:

This 3-day tour travels from Bend 450 miles through southwest Oregon including: the scenic 33-mile Crater Lake Rim Drive with a pack-your-own picnic lunch, a group dinner and lodging Friday in Klamath Falls, a Saturday morning scenic drive to Ashland for a group backstage guided tour of the Shakespeare Festival followed by a group lunch, free time on Saturday afternoon to explore Ashland’s many attractions, a banquet dinner party at the Belle Fiore Estate Winery and lodging Saturday in Ashland, free time on Sunday morning followed by a group drive back to Bend on Sunday afternoon.  Lodging Friday is at Best Western Olympic Inn; and Saturday at the Best Western Windsor Inn, with 20 rooms reserved at both venues (15 King, 5 Double Queen).

Meet for check-in at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning June 24, 2022 at the SW corner of the Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 20120 Pinebrook Blvd, Bend, OR 97702.

Cost:  The registration package of $135.00 per person includes the backstage guided tour of the Ashland Shakespeare Festival production on Saturday morning; the banquet dinner party at the Belle Fiore Winery including live music, buffet breakfast Saturday and Sunday, discounted lodging rates, PCA insurance coverage of the tour liability, and participation in the group drives and activities.

The registration cost does not cover:

-Entry fee on Friday morning to Crater Lake National Park, which is $30 per vehicle or $55 for an annual Park pass ($20 for seniors, also good for Lava Beds National Monument), or bring your lifetime pass for seniors ($80) or other annual or lifetime pass.   

-Pack-your-own picnic lunch on Friday afternoon

-Individual billing for the group dinner Friday night in Klamath Falls

-Individual billing for the group lunch on Saturday afternoon in Ashland

-Lodging costs (see below)

-Fuel costs

The above non-registration costs are estimated at about $335 per person based on double occupancy lodging.

The discount group lodging rates are $215.00 + $21.07 tax for Best Western Olympic Inn, 2627 S 6th Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97603 and $195.00 + $19.50 tax at the Best Western Windsor Inn, 2520 Ashland Street, Ashland, OR 97520.  You must first register, and book your room prior to May 20, 2022.  To book your rooms, call the for Best Western Olympic Inn reservation desk at (541) 882-9665 and request the block rate for the High Desert Porsche Club for June 24 (or book online at https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.38171.html?groupId=9T6HY2W4); and also call the Best Western Windsor Inn reservation desk at (541) 488-2330 and request the block rate for the High Desert Porsche Club for June 25.

Registration will close on May 20, 2022 or as soon as the tour capacity of 20 cars is reached.  Refer to the hotel reservation at time of booking for room cancellation penalties.  After May 24, 2022 in case of cancellation there will be NO REFUND of the registration fee.
