Grassroots Motorsports $2016 Challenge

Gainesville Raceway

About this event

Think you can build an awesome car for just $2000? Here's your chance to prove it—and have a fun weekend at the same time. The Grassroots Motorsports $2016 Challenge Driven by General Tire and sponsored by and Miller Electric and CRC Industries is the stage set for some of the most spectacular budget builds you've ever seen. We're talking 10-second quarter-mile times and cars that could dominate your local autocross, each built on a $2016 budget. The $2016 Challenge is a three-part competition, featuring autocross, drag racing and a concours-type show.

You can register for the event now, even if you haven't finished your build yet. On the day of the event, you'll need to bring a completed copy of the Vehicle Information Form to registration with you along with your build book. Note that all build books will be collected at registration this year. You must turn in your build book in order to compete.

Have any questions about the official rules? You can refer to the official Grassroots Motorsports $2016 Challenge rules. Can't find the exact answer to your question in there? Bring your question to our online message board. The Grassroots Motorsports staff frequents the forum along with many Challenge veterans and questions are usually answered quickly.
