GOLDEN WEST2023 - NATIONAL COURSE RALLY will be a scenic 190 mile rally through the foothills and Mother Lode mining areas southwest of Sacramento . It will be a challenging event designed for experienced ralliest familar with the SCCA rally rules : with both lettered and numbered instructions and changing MRDs . But the main course is also easy to follow for a novice entrant with all paved roads and no special equipment of math skills required . Just bring a Navigator friend , clipboard and pencil and a phone for GPS scoring.
GOLD RUSH DIVISIONAL TOUR RALLY on Sunday will be a low pressure, low scoring touring event through the southern Sacramento and Amador counties and ending early afternoon in Folsom CA. An easy to follow drive with milages at most instructions and lots of GPS scoring opportunities .
THE IDEAL SCENARIO : Compete in the 2 SoCal SCCA rallies, August 19/20 and then spend several days heading north along the amazing California coastline - Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey, etc. and then finish off with 2 more rallies in NoCal !
