Giugiaro: Designer of the Century

Automotive Hall of Fame

About this event

This event will focus on the vehicle designs of one of our living legends, 2002 AFH Inductee Georgetto Giugiaro. This Italian design genius was responsible for many classic vehicles including the Lotus Esprit, BMW M1, DeLorean, VW Rabbit, and more. His skill helped create more than 60 million cars built by companies all over the world. Owners of Giugiaro-designed cars are welcome to display them in front of the Automotive Hall of Fame during the event. Plus, enjoy additional display cars inside the Hall along with a lecture with Italian design experts including:

  • Richard Ruzzin, retired executive designer for Cadillac and author of “Bella Mangusta.” Copies of his book will be available for sale.

  • Dan Eastwood, Italian Carozzaria expert and consultant for the Society of Automotive Historians

  • Bob Boniface, chief designer at GM Design and restorer and aficionado of all Italian vehicles

The event will run from 1 – 4 p.m. Those displaying a vehicle should arrive at noon. Presented in partnership with Hagerty.

Masks are recommended throughout the event and are required in the theater.
