GGC Summer Picnic

General Information

Please join our annual summer BBQ picnic with a driving tour beforehand to whet your appetite!  The picnic will be at yet another new location, McNears Beach Park in San Rafael following a scenic drive. The driving tour will be about three hours long. The fee is $42 per person for the BBQ, but the driving tour is free. You can participate in the drive and BBQ or just the BBQ.  

This is a great introductory event for first-time club participants and is also one of our most popular social events of the year. All you need is your car and a full tank of gas if participating in the tour. If you choose not to participate in the drive the picnic starts at 12:30p.

Tour Option

Due to the large number of cars participating in our driving tours, we're are limited to 30 cars that will be divided into smaller tour groups. After you register for the tour,  you'll receive information before the event regarding the meet up location and time.

If you want to participate in the tour, enable the tour option in the registration form. If you've tried to sign up after the limit has been reached, the system will generate an automatic waiting list. If you need to cancel, please let us know so that someone else can take your place.

You can arrive at the staging area as early as 8:30 a.m. but please no later than 9:00 to sign the waiver. We'll have a driver's meeting at 9:15 and leave promptly at 9:30.  

Please note that everyone in your vehicle must sign the waiver! If you're bringing a minor under 18, you must sign an adult waiver for them.

Party Information

The tour/drive will end at McNears Beach Park (new location) which is right along the bay, and has a nearby public pool.  Awaiting us will be appetizers, BBQ baby back ribs, marinated chicken breast, veggie plates, roasted potatoes, caesar salad, fruit, bread, ice cream, cookies, water and soda.
