Join the Gulf Coast Vintage Racing Association as we showcase vintage open-wheel and closed-wheel racecars at the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston Presented by the Greater Houston Honda Dealers. We will be a support series for the weekend that includes IndyCar Series double-header, Pro Mazda and MX-5 Cup cars. The event will feature two 25-minute practice/qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday and a 15-minute warm-up and 35-minute race on Sunday for each group (open-wheel and closed-wheel).
The cost is $1100 and includes entry and a one-year membership, event hard card, meals and an event shirt. Up to three crew memberships are available for $100 each and include membership, event hard card, meals and an event shirt. Additional t-shirts are available to purchase for $15.
Eligible open-wheel cars include FF, FC, FB, Fjr., F2, FSV, FV, and sports racers under 2 liters from years 1982 and earlier. No tunnel cars will be accepted. Eligible closed-wheel cars include production-based racecars prior to 1972. Each group will be limited to thirty (30) entrants. Entrants MUST have current racing license, safety equipment must be no less than period correct, and FIA or SFI certified Head and Neck Restraint systems (such as HANS Device) are required.
All cars will be on display in the Gulf Coast Vintage Racing Association paddock and will be part of the “Fan Zone”. As such, entrants and their teams will be expected to be hosts of the event and interact with the fans in a friendly and engaging manner.
Entrants will have access to reduced hotel rates, full event access passes for driver and crew, and a parking consideration for the team.

10:00-11:00 a.m. – Event Check-In at GCVRA hospitality (in Vintage Paddock)
5:00 p.m. – All vehicles leaving the property for the weekend must be out of the track area.
