Mid-Ohio Madness is FRP's EVENT # 2
An FRP Hosted Event
There are NO testing Sessions at this event.
Practice, Qualifying and Races only.
FRP Classes and Run Groups are: F1600, F2000, Atlantic, FE2, CCS, VS2000 & FFCS
F1600 & F1600 Masters will each have their own podium.
Atlantic 016 & Open classes will remain in separate classes and respective Atlantic Championships.
016 Eligible Class Eligible Cars: All unrestricted Swift 016's No restrictor or air box required; 8,200 hard rev limit;14:1 compression; 1,420 lbs
Open Class Eligible Cars and Technical Rules follow the current SCCA GCR section(s) 9.1.1.A. Other Model Cars May be admitted at FRP’s Race Director's discretion
F2000 & Atlantic will be in their own seperate run group
New for 2026, FRP's F1600, F2000 & Atlantic classes we will have the following session format, each contained in a 30 min block:
P1, P2, Q, HEAT RACE 1. HEAT RACE 2, CHAMPIONSHIP RACE.
Grid for Heat Race 1 (HR1) will be determined by best time from the Qualifying Session.
Grid for Heat Race 2 (HR2) will be determined by best time from HR1
Grid for the Championship Race will be determined by best time from either HR1 or HR2.
POINTS for the Season Championship will be awarded for all three races, weighted to the Championship Race. (See Points & Prize $ Schedule for each series)
PODIUM (Position 1-3) will only be held for the Championship Race.
PRIZE $ and Contingency Tires will be allocated only for the Championship Race,
paying down to 7th place - (minimum entry rules apply).

Event requirements
DRIVERS (F1600; F2000; Atlantic; FE-2)-- You must have the 2026 FRP PRO License in order to compete with FRP.
License application is online through Motorsport Reg. Your MReg Garage Profile must be set up.
Approval for the FRP Pro License is automatic with a Current Full Competition license issued by SCCA; FIA; HSR; IMSA; NASA; VRG; EMRA; Indy Car; & CACC.
Other applicants will be reviewed for eligibility by FRP - A racing resume is required for this review.
The FRP Pro license fee is $160. -
