First SCCA Hawaii Drift Test-N-Tune!

Announced by Invitation Only

About this event

The Hawaii Region of the Sports Car Club of America will be sanctioning their 1st Drift Test - N - Tune of the 2013-2014 Season on Sunday, June 29th, 2014.  The Drift Event will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii.  This is a trial event and is by invitation only.  Directions to the event will be emailed to the participants.

Registration and Tech Inspection start at 8AM, Drivers Meeting at 9AM and heat 1 begins around 9:30AM.  Course will be available for walking between 8:30 and 9AM.   The Drift Test - N - Tune will end at 5PM.  All participants must remove their own rubbish and make arrangements to tow any non-running, un-safe or un-drivable vehicles from the event site.

While the event is not a spectator event (i.e. SCCA Hawaii Rally won't charge for viewing), we know that you may want to bring your family and friends to watch.  Drifters will be allowed to bring in 3 guests and a Support/Tire hauling vehicle in addition to their Drift Car.   These spectator guests must stay in the Viewing areas.  Each participant will be allowed one “pit crew” and one “pit vehicle” in the paddock area.  Pets are not allowed at SCCA events, Drifting included. One Passenger at a time is allowed.  All Drivers and Passengers must have SCCA regular membership or SCCA Weekend Membership, in order to meet insurance and sanction requirements

Registration fees are $105 for current SCCA members and $120 for all others.  There is a minimum pre-registration requirement for this event of 15 Drifters.   SCCA Weekend Memberships are $15.

Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.  Online registration is required for pre-reg and credit cards, and Paypal are accepted for online reg

Please note that the non-member fee includes an SCCA Weekend membership and will give you a $15-discount towards full SCCA membership, which includes a subscription to SportsCar (our national magazine).

Event requirements

Competitors must present a valid driver’s license, and if under 18-years of age, they must contact the Region for a waiver form.  This form will need to be signed by the participant’s parents prior to competition.
