Escape to the Track DE

High Plains Raceway

About this event

ESCAPE TO THE TRACK DE

RMR/PCA Event at High Plains Raceway

July 24th and 25th, 2021

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FRIDAY JUNE 25 AT 8:00 am  for RMR's third HPDE event of the year!  ESCAPE TO THE TRACK … a much needed distraction after the craziest year we have ever experienced!  An excellent team of instructors & volunteers will help you enjoy your Porsche on the best track Colorado has to offer, High Plains Raceway.   Register early to avoid missing out on all the fun.

*On Saturday evening there will be a Taco Bar Dinner for just $15 which you may select when you register for the event.

*Saturday: Full Course / *Sunday: West Course

Special treat!  On Saturday, we’ll run the FULL course at HPR.  Then on Sunday, we’ll run the WEST course.  It will be an exciting change of pace and like going to a whole new track! We did the West course for the first time last October and it was a big hit!  Despite being slightly shorter, the West course will provide a new challenge to seasoned and newer drivers alike.  The West course by-passes turns 9ab, 10, 11 and 12, taking drivers on a unique approach to the corkscrew from top of turn 8 directly into turns 13-15 at a higher speed with a very different entry into the Corkscrew.   We will hold a track walk on Saturday night covering the West course to give you pointers, ideas and “ammunition” for this challenging change. Here are a couple of slow laps by the registrar from last year to give you an idea of that new turn in the West course looks like:  VIDEO of WEST COURSE in Tim's GT4

We are excited to support our Charity for this event:  FOOD BANK OF THE ROCKIES!   If you would like to donate to this charity, you can easily do so during registration.

Food Bank of the Rockies warehouse is the central distribution program providing food and essentials to more than 600 hunger-relief programs in northern Colorado including metropolitan Denver, the eastern Plains and western Slope as well as the entire state of Wyoming.

Lunchtime charity rides will be held for $20 per vehicle - Any roadworthy vehicle can drive the track at touring/highway speeds.  All proceeds benefit our charity for the event.

Thankfully, COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed, however, we recommend that all occupants of vehicles participating in lunchtime charity rides be either 1) same household members, or 2) “fully vaccinated” (e.g., 2 weeks after vaccination regimen completed).  Always feel free to use “social distancing” and masks as you see fit and comfortable.  Hand sanitizer, masks and wipes are freely available.  Of course, COVID-19 restrictions could change, so stay informed.

This Event will be using Deferred Billing, if you are paying with a credit card it will not be charged until Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
