New for 2024! DMS Time Trials Lap Battle, held at Stratotech Raceway, just 15 minutes north of Edmonton, AB! A safe, competitive & affordable lapping time attack that anyone can compete in.
What is a Lap Battle?
It's a time trial competition were drivers compete to put down the single fastest lap time in their class. After some controlled practice, drivers get the track all to themselves for two 5 lap sessions plus a bonus Super Lap session in an attempt to set a top time. A shortened course layout is used to reduce speeds & eliminate the most dangerous parts of the track. This allows for all skill levels to safely compete at this event.
Results from each event are combined into a leaderboard. Drivers that set the fastest laps will receive an award at the end of the season.

70 km/h max speed for first 2 sessions. No limit after.

Must remain a minimum 10 car lengths distance from the car ahead of you

Done in 5 lap sessions with up to 4 cars on track.

Learn the track & get used to doing the 5 laps

May get re-staged & do as many 5 lap sessions as needed during the allotted time

Speeding or dangerous driving will get you disqualified

- Drop 2 or more tires fully off the pavement = Lap DQ'd

- Awards will handed out at the end of the season. Position is based on your single best lap time set over all events
Event requirements
- A drivers license
- A mechanically sound car
- To register
- To fill out the online self tech form & sign the annual waiver (Click Here)
- A Snell certified M/SA/K 2015 or newer helmet or ECE 22.05

- Suv’s, trucks, vans and other high center of gravity vehicles are prohibited for safety reasons. Vehicles track width must be greater than it's height. (Street trucks are allowed)
- Have a structure and bodywork that surrounds and protects the driver at least to their waist level when seated in their normal driving position.
- Performance brake pads & brake fluid are highly recommended!
- Exhaust noise level less than 94dbA from 100 feet away
- Must have no fluid leaks that could drop oil or antifreeze on the track
- All loose items must be removed from the vehicle.
- 3 point seat belt at minimum.
- Only 1 allowed & during practice sessions only
- Must be wearing same safety gear as driver
- Must sign the event waiver
- Must be of 16 years of age or older
