DK Precision Driving School for Solo Driving

JOIN DK RACING SCHOOL FOR ITS INAUGURAL DK PRECISION DRIVING SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH, 2020 7 AM to 5:30 PM

DK Precision Driving Schools are full-immersion experiences aimed at teaching safe and skilled driving, and increased confidence in execution at various levels from Beginner to Advanced, preparing its track drivers to move on to DK Racing School. 

The September 18th DK Precision Driving School is a Level 1 Driving School designed for:  
A. Beginning trackday drivers, and
B. PCA San Diego Members who are interested in participating in PCA San Diego Region's September 19th and 20th Willow Springs event, who are not qualified to solo drive yet.  This class will enable those individuals to obtain a solid foundation and preparedness for Solo Driving, and those deemed safe to drive alone, will receive a certificate from DK Racing School clearing them to solo drive with PCA San Diego.

Drivers who have never been on a racetrack are welcome and our onboarding process is one that will make any driver feel comfortable.  Any car make and model are welcome.

All cars MUST pass inspection.  Please have a mechanic take a look at your car prior to the event, especially brake pads and tire tread must be adequate.  Please provide auto shop's review and approval of your car via email. Otherwise cars will be inspected the morning of.  If a car does not pass inspection, it will not be allowed to participate and there will be no refunds given.  SAFETY IS KEY.  Drivers anticipating driving at the PCA San Diego track event on September 19th and 20th, must follow PCA San Diego Tech Inspection protocols.

The DK Precision Driving School Curriculum involves extensive preparation, implementation and real time feedback.  Please be ready to start on grid at least 10 minutes before each run session, which takes place on the hour.  Participants must arrive on Grid no later than 5 minutes before the hour, in their cars fully prepared with helmet on and seat belts fastened..  Late arrivals will have to wait for the next run session.

As a special bonus, participants will receive

1. A video with 3D views of Willow Springs racetrack via racing simulator (via email, 2 weeks prior to event)

2. A video of Dwain Dement and Martina Kwan driving Big Willow racetrack with narration and explanation of the track (via email, 2 weeks prior to event)

Tuesday, September 15th, 6 PM, we will have a VIrtual Meeting via Zoom to discuss logistics and what to do and expect when you arrive on September 18th.

5-5:30 PM AWARD CERTIFICATE CEREMONY FOR DK PRECISION DRIVING SCHOOL LEVEL 1 & PCA SAN DIEGO SOLO DRIVER  (****Only those drivers who participated for the full day, and are deemed to be safe and conscientious drivers will receive the Certificates)

The Cafeteria will be open during the lunch hour. Fuel is available at the racetrack at a premium.  Alternatively, participants can go to the local gas station during lunch to fill up.  Join us for this new type of trackday experience.

There will be an Gate Entry Fee to Willow Springs International Raceway of $15.00.  Proceed to office to sign in, sign waivers, and receive your Willow Springs Insurance card.
