About this event
Come join the PCA Diablo Region for a Drivers Event at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA. This event is sponsored by Porsche of Fremont and is open to all Porsche drivers.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO PORSCHE CARS ONLY!

The Diablo DE Program is designed so that participants can improve their Porsche and overall driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of Porsche vehicle dynamics and enhancing driver safety. Diablo DE Program is for Porsche cars only, and is open to all Porsche drivers whether you are a member of the PCA or not. We are a Porsche club and not a driving school or a driving business. Participants will experience first-hand the capabilities of their automobile in a controlled (limited passing), closed-course environment and acquire skills that will enhance safer vehicle operation in all driving situations. This event is open for Novice (no experience, instructor led), Beginner (repeat novice can drive solo), Intermediate (separate run group), Advanced (separate run group). Novice/Beginner refresher training will be provided the morning of the event, and Novices will be assigned instructors for the event.
All Instructors need to be approved by our Chief Instructor before they register.
Due to the limited number of instructors, novice participants will have their registrations confirmed once all instructors have been identified. Novice participants are treated on a first come first serve basis. So, if you are an novice, register early! If you register but we do not have an available instructor, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
All cars must pass a tech inspection within 30 days of this event. Information on the tech inspections is listed on the requirements page.
A no-host group dinner will be organized for the night before the event, with the details to be provided to all registered participants.
Registration Fee: $225 (non-refundable)
Event requirements
This event is open to all people who drive Porsches!
IMPORTANT STUFF
1. Receipt of Payment is Critical -- where priority for instruction and acceptance into an event is decided by date, it is the date of payment receipt that is used. Waitlisted students' priority will be decided by date of registration.
2. You are considered a Novice/student unless:
- You have been signed off “OK to Solo” by a Diablo Region DE Instructor, or
- Your profile on Motorsportsreg indicates that you have successfully attended a number of DE events as a solo driver in the recent past.
3. We can only accept a fixed number of Novice drivers since we have a set number of instructors available. Novices will be notified once their registration has been accepted.
4. Tech inspection must be completed before track day. You must present a completed tech form and valid drivers license during registration at the track. Diablo Region will both assign and supply the numbers for your car. No worries about any possible paint damage as the numbers are disposable vinyl numbers that go on your windshield and rear window Download and use our event tech form which can be found on the Downloads page on the Official Diablo Website here: http://diablo-pca.org/downloads/view.download/22/217.html
5. We will have two free tech inspection events. No need to register for these tech inspections, just show up at one. It's a fun social event too!
