About this event
PCA – Grand Prix, Los Angeles, Cal Inland, Santa Barbara and San Gabriel Valley Presents “DAY AWAY FROM WORK” HPDE
Welcome to the registration for October 12, 2026, Day Away HPDE at the Streets Of Willow Springs. We hope you can join us at one of SoCal’s favorite tracks, Streets of Willow with its highly technical 1.8-mile layout prioritizing precision, vehicle dynamics, and driver skill over raw horsepower. Originally established as a driver development and setup tool, the track compresses 14 diverse turns—including a mix of increasing and decreasing radius corners, a banked bowl, and significant elevation changes—into a tight configuration that challenges drivers every 12 to 15 seconds.
High-Performance Driver Education (HPDE) schools offer the safest environment to understand the vehicle dynamics and engineering behind the Porsche brand. Crucially, HPDE events are entirely non-competitive. They do not involve racing, timed laps, or driver rankings. Participants receive no awards or prizes. Instead, the sole focus remains on driver skill development, safety, and a shared camaraderie on the track.
An important note to all participants: When you register for this DE event, please update your driving experience log on the MSR registration site. This is the primary tool for evaluating which run group you are assigned to.
We will also require that your Emergency Contact be updated in MSR.
Event Hotel - Wyndham Garden Lancaster, 2038 West Avenue I, Lancaster, CA, 93536. PCA discounted rate of $114.00 per Night. Please mention Porsche Club of America October 12th room block discount when booking at (661) 418-0550
Tech Inspection - Participants in this DE event are required to have their cars tech inspected prior to arriving at the track. A secondary tech inspection will be available on Sunday at the event hotel prior to the Ground School and at the track on the day of the event. Please print the blank form and take it with you to a dealer or independent shop to have all the items on the inspection form reviewed and evaluated. Please bring the COMPLETED tech inspection form with you to check-in on the day of the event.
Ground School - Novices and beginners are highly encouraged to attend our Ground School on Sunday Oct 11 from 4pm – 7pm at the event hotel. Taught by PCA Nationally Recognized instructors, students will be provided with the fundamentals to make their experience at the HPDE more rewarding.
