This year, our fall tour is based at the Emerson Resort & Spa, Mount Tremper, NY in the Catskills. We went here in 2017 and it was a great place for a tour and the hotel was also very accommodating and pleasant to work with. The location is a close drive and has beautiful views of the mountains. Located in the Catskill Forest Preserve, the Emerson is a small boutique hotel that caters to its guests.
Emerson’s backstory is a tribute to the legendary essayist/poet Ralph Waldo Emerson who, inspired by the beauty of the area, wrote the essay, “Nature”. The Emerson offers a wonderful spa, with a menu of holistic treatments, a yoga studio and a fitness center. The Emerson also has the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope, which is located in the silo.
A short drive away is the artsy town of Woodstock which has a 1960’s feel, with tie-dyed shirts, jewelry, crafts, art galleries and boutiques. Please take some extra time to walk the town and possibly have lunch in one of the great dining spots.
The Emerson does have a few dining options for attendees that come in a day early. For those that want to relax and mingle you can sit by the fire pit along the Esopus Creek.
We are planning to have a Barbecue on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We did this in 2017 and it was fun and a perfect way to start the weekend.

Our timing to the Catskill’s will have some color but not be crowded with peak season travelers. Our tour will have us on some great roads and very scenic open roads.

TOUR DETAILS
The format for this tour will be as in the preceding tours. You will travel to the Emerson Spa & Resort on Friday, September 27th. Dinner is on your own or with the club barbecue. Saturday, September 28th, breakfast will be served from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Drivers meeting at 8:40 a.m. with departure at 9:00 a.m. We will have a 15 minute break midway through the drive with an expected arrival at our Luncheon spot at 12:15 p.m.
Saturday evening September 28th we will have a cocktail hour from 6:00 p.m. - 7 p.m. with a buffet dinner following at 7:00 p.m. After dinner we will have our door prize give-aways. (tickets will be provided in the registration packet). Dress for the weekend is casual. Cash bar will be available during cocktail hour and dinner
LODGING AND LUNCH DETAILS
Package Plan includes the following accommodation choices:
Emerson Resort & Spa is offering lodge rooms and inn rooms. All packages include 2 nights lodging, breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night dinner includes all taxes and gratuity. You are responsible to make your own reservations by calling 845-688-4141. This is the direct Line for Marci and she is handling the reservations for the club. Be sure to mention you are with the Connecticut Valley Porsche Club. This year they are only allowing us 43 rooms so it will sell out fast.

• Room reservations will require a 50% deposit with balance due on check in. Room cancellations less than 72 hours prior to arrival forfeit deposit in full. If cancelled more than 72 hours prior there will be a cancellation fee of $50.
• Lunch is at the Old Schoolhouse Inn & Restaurant and will have a variety of choices. Registration and luncheon is $110. per couple, $55. single..
• Note: Luncheon and Friday night barbecue registrations need to be received prior to June 1st. and are non-refundable after September 1st. If you plan to come to the barbecue please email me as we need 50 people for this to happen.

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
We plan to continue with the current system of handing out a summary of participant information with the registration packet. An email address will be helpful in the event we have any updates or changes. Please complete the registration form at the REGISTRATION link below. This form is important and makes the paperwork easier for us.
BARBECUE DETAILS
Additional fee for barbecue on Friday night September 27th is $86.50 per person and includes tax and gratuity. The barbecue was a fun time and they really did a nice job with it. The barbecue will consist of: Southwest dry rub flank steak, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw, mixed green salad, roasted sweet potatoes with chili & garlic glaze, Jalapeno Corn bread and corn & black bean salad. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.
CHECK IN
You will receive a basic packet of information upon check in with the weekend details, timing, locations for breakfast, drivers meeting, Saturday night cocktail hour and dinner and your driving directions and GPS information. We will have the CVR “Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement” at the front desk for you to sign. Every participant must sign the release form.
