About this event
Columbia Porsche Group Drive to Lamy's Bistro in Sedalia
Join us on Saturday, September 12, for a scenic drive to Lamy’s Bistro in Sedalia, Missouri.
We will depart at 10:45 AM from the Booneville Rest Area Westbound, just west of Hwy 87. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time for restroom break and a drivers’ meeting before departure.
Our route will take us west on I-70 to Highway 135, just west of Boonville, and then south toward Sedalia. Highway 135 offers a picturesque drive through Missouri farm country, with plenty of curves along the way to enjoy your Porsche.
Sedalia has a fascinating history as the end of the trail for numerous cattle drives originating in Texas. The cattle drives peaked in 1866, when as many as 260,000 head of Texas Longhorns were loaded onto trains in Sedalia and transported to Chicago slaughterhouses. The Trails End Monument greets visitors entering Sedalia from the north and serves as a reminder of the city’s important role in the cattle-drive era.
Route maps will be provided at the drivers’ meeting.
