Come join us in downtown Los Altos as we put Corvettes on display over the full length of Main Street. Santa Clara Corvettes is hosting another Corvette Spectacular car show on Sept. 22, 2019, as we have been doing for over 40 years. All 7 generations of Corvette will be there and you can be a part of it.
Like last year, this will be a Type V show (not Type I) under the auspices of the Western States Corvette Council. That means it's not our usual competitive show. There will be no formal judging. Trophies will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place for each generation (C-1 thru C-7).
This will be a car show emphasizing fun and the camaraderie among owners. There will also be special awards, music, many car-related vendors and dealerships, and a lot of valuable prizes being raffled off.
Special for this year, we will be raffling off a very special and valuable 2-day Driving School at Spring Mountain Raceway in Pahrump, Nevada, where the instructors at Ron Fellows Driving School teach you how to drive on a race track, using their Corvettes. This is a chance to win a great driving experience worth ~ $2,500 for the cost of a $25 raffle ticket (so best to buy more than 1).
So come join the fun in a great setting! The tree-lined street has a variety of merchants who will be open for food, drink and shopping.
Event requirements
The only hard requirements for this show -- you must have a pulse, and you must bring a Corvette-bodied car. Everyone is invited. You don't have to be a member of a Corvette Club. There is one entry price -- $35 per car. The gates will open at 8 AM. You'll have a couple hours to get your car cleaned up, and then more time to browse all the other cars, check out the vendors and raffle prizes. Award presentation will happen about 2 PM. We should be all done by 3 PM.
You do need to be in place by 10 AM, or we may give your spot away. Feel free to bring placards describing what's special about your car.
Big-ticket raffle prize winners will be listed on white boards in front of Chase Bank (corner of Main and 3rd St). That's also where the award presentations will also occur. The winner of the big driving school raffle prize will be announced at ~ 2:30
