About this event

Welcome to your first and last introduction to Super-moto, Supermoto, Sumo. For supermoto riders, racers and enthuisiasts there is nothing quite like it that can replace the excitement and smile a supermoto will bring to your Soul!

Supermoto or Supermotard is motorcycle racing on a circuit that alternates between three types of track: flat track, motocross and road racing, using motorcycles designed for that purpose.

Before we begin, CSS Rulebook is the guide for all things that will or will not be allowed on the racetrack come any given Sunday. It will give you an idea of what needs to be safety wired, what is legal in the class and everything else related to Supermoto racing with Colorado Supermoto Series. This camp is for all Supermoto & Asphalt levels. We will break into small groups Novice, Intermediate and Pro. Each group will be paired with the appropriate coach. After debriefing with your coach regarding track etiquette, rules and procedures we will start our track sessions. There will be both asphalt and Supermoto groups. After training you will leave with new skills that will give you more confidence and make you a safer rider.

Training camp includes:

  • Track Etiquette.
  • Safety procedures.
  • Starting.
  • Braking.
  • Dirt Riding Techniques.
  • Line Selection.
  • Cornering.
  • Body Position.


If there is someone who hasn't expeirenced supermoto and wants to learn this is the event. We have limted gear if you need something to barrow, We also have some sumos that are available for rent if you need a bike.Please reach out if you have any questions

Event requirements

For the Sumo school, your current bike should be in good working shape with good tires with no leaks. For the school, you are not required to “safety wire” any parts. Coaches will tech your bike prior to heading out to the track please let us know if you have any questions.

Riding Gear

Helmet -  A Snell, ECE Street or dirt is acceptable. Helmets that appear to be in unsafe condition as determined by a coach will not be able to participate . Eye Protection - A street shield or MX style Goggles. Gloves – Leather Street or race gloves are preferred. Boots – Street or MX boots with 4” above ankle minimum. Suit – Leather 1 or 2-piece suit w/ body armor, SM Specific Gear (MVD/Thor) with under armor. MX gear can also be used but not recommended; we recommend as much protection under the gear as possible. If MX gear is being used a under armor suit or compression suit is required.
