The California Central Coast Region Porsche Club will hold it's first Driver Education at Big Willow Racetrack at Willow Springs Raceway sponsored by Santa Barbara Porsche for PCA members and non-PCA members on Oct. 16, 2020. We will have novice, intermediate, advanced and expert sessions. A minimum of four days of high speed track experience is required. Instruction is not available at the time of the event due to Covid 19 restrictions. PCA requires at least four days track experience or be signed off by an instructor to drive solo. Starting 1/1/19 PCA has required a head and neck restraint devise for any car with 5 or 6 point harness systems. Please visit http://www.zone8.org/assets/docs/2019/2019Z8Rules.pdf for the complete set of rules. Instructors please note, if you have a passenger in your car, he or she, must have equal restraints to yours including head and neck restraints.

2020 DE rules require helmets be Snell 2010 or 2015. Helmets are available for rent at CCCR garage. Subject to change

Registration at the track will open at 6:30 AM and close just before the mandatory drivers meeting at 7:30AM.

Event requirements
We follow PCA DE guidelines. Please pay attention to the race seat belt requirements for Zone 8. 2020 DE rules require helmets be Snell 2010 or 2015 subject to change.
All participants must sign the insurance waivers at the gate prior to entry.
We accept completed Tech Forms from any legitimate auto repair focused business. Self teching is not allowed. You can use the below linked form from our web site, a PCA Zone 8 form or a POC form. Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will not be tech available at the track. Be informed that completed tech form of your car must be completed and emailed to Bob Bruington Aircooled911sc@gmail prior to the event. If you are near San Luis Obispo, we offer a free tech at SGS Motorsport, 750 Francis St., San Luis Obispo, CA on Thursday Oct. 1st., 5:30 to 7:00pm. Please have the full tech completed prior to attending the event!
