Event Requirements
BurnOut Motorsport welcomes all driving enthusiasts to attend our events. To ensure clarity, we outline the basic criteria necessary for placement in the appropriate run group. Our goal is to group drivers with comparable experience levels to maintain balanced, safe, and enjoyable run groups. This guideline serves as a tool to help you determine where you fit best within BurnOut Motorsport.
Sound Limit at This Event: UNMUFFLED (No race engines before 8:30 AM or after 7:00 PM).
Please ensure your car meets the track’s sound requirements, as it is at their discretion to remove you from the event if you exceed the limit. No refunds or credits will be issued in such cases.
Helmets
-
Helmets with a SNELL SA-2015 rating or higher are REQUIRED for all BurnOut Motorsport events.
-
M-rated helmets are NOT acceptable as motorcycle helmets lack proper safety standards for car use, particularly the rollbar multi-impact test.
-
Helmets MUST have one of the following certification labels inside.
Recommended Helmet Suppliers:
-
Stable Energy
-
HMS Motorsports
Convertibles:
For safety reasons, all convertibles that do not have permanent roll hoops installed (Boxster, Miata, Corvette, BMW Z4, Honda S2000, Pontiac Solstice, etc.) must have a roll bar that meets the following criteria:
-
The roll bar must be fixed and visible at all times. Automatic pop-up roll bars are not acceptable unless locked in the fully upright position.
-
The roll bar must allow the driver to pass the “broomstick” test—the top of the driver’s helmet must be below a straight line from the top of the roll bar to the top of the windshield.
Aftermarket roll bars and/or racing seats may help meet these requirements. If your convertible meets these standards, you are welcome to participate!
SUV's:
Specific performance sport utility vehicles, models such as the Porshce Macan, Audi QRS5 may be allowed. Please inquire via email at info@burnoutmotorsport.com to make sure your SUV may be allowed on track.
Electric Vehicles:
Unfortunately due to insurance requirements, electric vehicles are not allowed to participate in this HPDE event.
