BMW Baltimore VDC Open House Weekend

BMW Vehicle Distribution Center

About this event

BMWNA recently celebrated the grand opening of their recently built Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) in the Sparrows Point neighborhood in downtown Baltimore, MD. We have an exclusive opportunity for all BMW CCA members to not only visit the new state-of-the-art VDC, but take part in a larger event kicking off this year's 50th anniversary of BMW M and the introduction of several new electric vehicles (EV).

Workshop Format:

Groups of people will move from one workshop to another and meet with BMW specialists to showcase their products:

1) 50th Anniversary of M- BMW product managers to discuss the technology of various M cars, both current and classic (possible demo cars: M5 CS, M8 Competition, F1-inspired V10 S85 engine, final 6.6L V12 N74 engine, classic race cars)

2) Next Gen EVs- discuss the technology of newly launched EV cars and engines (demo cars: i4, iX)

3) VDC production tours- see what goes on at the VDC: receiving imported vehicles, dealer distribution hub, vehicle inspections, repairs, maintenance

Please note that this event will take place on Friday, May 6th from 3:30-7:30pm ET to allow for behind-the-scenes tours and demos of an actual production workday. This event is limited to the first 100 CCA members and include light refreshments. We are currently running a waitlist as we work with BMW to expand capacity.

In addition, this extended weekend also includes activities on Sat, May 7th. Starting at Hunt Valley Horsepower Cars & Coffee, we'll head out for an incredible driving tour, hitting the country backroads of Maryland and include lunch. A separate registration for the tour is required, please sign up here: http://msreg.com/VDC2022Tour
