Audi Club VIR Advanced Drivers' School

Virginia International Raceway

About this event

PCC's annual event for ADVANCED Drivers, club racers, and race teams on VIR's Full Course. This event offers a maximum track exposure of up to eight (8) hours per day, advanced classroom sessions related to high performance driving with an option to request an Audi Club instructor/coach or bring your own individual coach pending Audi Club CI approval. Don't miss out on expert instruction by special guests who will provide specialized workshops and interactive sessions throughout the event!

The structure of this event is as follows:

  • Open to Advanced Solo run group drivers (Group 2 - Black, Group 1 - Red), current instructors, and those with a current race license from an approved sports car racing sanctioning organization (e.g., SCCA, NASA, PCA, BMW CCA, IMSA, etc.).
  • The open track format will maximize run and on-track coaching time while taking into consideration opportunities to access guest experts and specialized workshops.
  • Our guest experts, Peter Krause and Randy Pobst will be conducting classroom sessions covering topics related to high performance driving skill techniques, chassis setups as well as any other topic that attendees wish to address. All are welcome to attend.

Additionally Peter and Randy will be offering their expert coaching services.  For information and to reserve time with them see below.

Peter Krause Coaching Services - The short URL for sign up with Peter Krause/Individual and Private Session, April 4-5, 2022 is

http://msreg.com/Audi2022

Four reservations available, Monday AM/Monday PM/Tuesday AM/Tuesday PM, first come, first choice when to meet.

Private sessions with Peter Krause can be a great way to assess and evaluate how well you're doing and what you can do better.

As Peter states, "We can use our seventy-five minute reservation any way you like, to review your performance, learn how to build action plans from simple data and video review, or arrange your video and data so it makes more sense for you."

Randy Pobst Coaching Services - Randy Pobst is one of the most highly respected automotive authorities in the world, both as analyst of driving dynamics and as lap-record setting driver.  As a career pro racer, he earned factory contracts with Audi, Porsche, Mazda, and Volvo, winning nearly 100 pro races, and won again just recently in his own Flyin’ Moose Volvo at a 7-hour Lucky Dog Racing League event.

Would you like to learn how to get the most out of your car by both advancing the driver’s ability through data analysis (driver provided), baseline laps and suspension set up recommendations? Now is your chance to do so with the one and only Randy Pobst. The limited number of one-on-one private coaching sessions will be available both days of the event. The sessions will be 50 minutes at a very reasonable Audi Club special rate of $200 each (best $200 value ever spent for driving improvements).

If you are interested in securing a 50-minute session with Randy, please contact the Event Master, Matt Hull, at matt@audiclubpcc.com. The limited number of sessions are expected to go fast so don’t hesitate.

General Driver School event rules & regulations related to Age & Licensing, Driver Level/Group Guidelines, Open Top and High Center of Gravity Vehicles, Helmets, and Refunds and Cancellations listed on the Driver School Event Rules page are also valid, so please review!
