About this event

Requirements to Race:

  • AMP follows SCCA (General Competition Rules) for wheel to wheel racing with AMP specific supplemental rules added for contact (see below).
  • Drivers must hold a valid racing license from an accredited organization like SCCA, NASA, SVRA, and WRL. Any driver who does not have a valid racing license but has competed in an AMP Racing Series event in 2024 or 2025 will be grandfathered in. All AMP Members who have not competed at AMP in the last 2 seasons or do not hold a valid racing license will be required to sucessfully complete the 1-Day AMP Race Series Sign-Off Program powered by Primal Racing.
  • The AMP Race Series Sign-Off Program is not a racing license and not valid for entry into any other racing series. The 2026 AMP Race Sign-off Program on March 1, 2026 is for AMP members only
  • AMP holds all drivers to a high level of sportsmanship and must follow the AMP Sporting Code at all times when competing in an AMP hosted racing event.

Race Format & Season Points:

  • The 2026 Championship Series will consist of 5 races over 5 race dates, with the final event counting as a double points finish. “Pre Final” race 1 will set the starting order for “Final” race 2. Points and trophies are only awarded for “Final” results.
  • The Championship Series race format consists of practice, qualifying, pre-final, and final races. Your fastest lap time from the qualifying session will set grid order for Race #1. Finishing order from the Pre Final Race 1 determines the starting order for the Race 2 Final.
  • 100 Points are awarded for winning a final race, with 10 points subtracted for each position behind 1st. A minimum of 25 Points are awarded if you take the green flag but do not finish the race or place lower than 8th in your class. 2026 will not feature a dropped race result in points scoring.
  • The August 8, 2026 event will be a double points race worth 200 points for first, with 20 points subtracted for each position after first, to a minimum of 50 for cars that take the green flag.
  • A class must have 3 or more drivers to count towards season points and be eligible for daily podium awards. Cars not assigned a class will be grouped into either the Open Class or Unlimited Classes depending on which group they run with.
  • A championship award will be given to drivers that compete in three or more eligible events with three or more competitors in the class. If a class is split (i.e. Club Spec is broken into Spec Miata and SE30 classes based on large attendance), event trophies and points will be awarded to the winners of each split class, but only one Club Spec Championship award is given at the end of the year.
