All Porsche Car Show Application at WAREHOUSE

IRPCA Virtual Office!

About this event

UPDATE- As of 9pm May 1st, we have reached our full complement of 30 registered cars. We realize that completing the registration process takes time on your part. We are happy to waitlist your entry, which will be accepted and can still be completed until the May 5th midnight registration deadline. You will be notified sometime next week in the event of a cancelation. However with respect for your time, we feel it is necessary to make you aware of this waitlisting, due to the fact that the writing of your "story" as part of the registration is a time commitment on your part. Hope to see you at the show, either way!

---------------

We hope that you will be one of up to 30 members displaying your car, and your own Porsche story, at the IRPCA car show on May 10th at WAREHOUSE Motorpark in Park City. This is the official registration site. Applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis once each registration is FULLY complete.

To be clear this car show is NOT a concours event. On the other hand it is not a gimmick show either. Our intent is to create a display of cars that will encourage specialty productions cars, rarity of colors, some fun Porsche stories that go with the owner (more points if it involves the specific car that you are displaying), and finally well-maintained and preserved cars- the only concours-light element. Generally speaking the story and the uniqueness of the car will share 60/100 points. The rarity of the color (scored by the number of "paint cans" at www.rennbow.org) and the presentation of the car during the show, will share 40/100 points.

As an example of the kind of fun that we're trying to create, if you have a pristine  paint to sample  993 turbo-s, that your parents told you that you were conceived in, let us know now, and we'll cancel the show and send you the plaque now!.

Our goal is to create a very interesting array of cars with some very interesting stories. It's not just about the cars, but it's about the people too. As part of the registration process below, you will be asked to answer questions that will allow us to understand (and to actually score, using a directional but non-scientific algorithm)  the rarity of the color and of the car itself. You should be able to answer of these questions off the top of your head. One question however, will take a bit of prework on your part. That is the question about "Your Porsche Story". We encourage you to have fun with this question. Please keep it to 250 words or less. Our intent is to print the story for you to display on your windshield during the show. We'll take care of the preparation. The more fun, emotive, compelling, exciting, unbelieveable (add any additional adjective you want) the higher will likely be your score on this component by the judging team. You may first want to jot down your "story" as you will need to type it into this form to complete your registration.

There will be only two plaque awards for this show, plus several other small give-aways. One plaque will be a winner based on the criteria above. The other will be a "people's choice" award based on voting by IRPCA members who attend the show on May 10th. So take a run through the registration questions. Astute readers will get some insight from the questions, about how we will be scoring entries. If you see a fit, then complete the registration, telling us your story, and displaying your car.

Hope to see your  "less-common, more colorful, well-kept, Porsche along with your (or its) great story" on May 10th. Specific details about timing for arrival on the day, will be sent to all registrants later this month, once registration is full. But for now, plan on the full morning from 8am to noon.
