Fall is in the Air II HPDE

RMR/PCA High Performance Driver Education Event at High Plains Raceway

Saturday and Sunday October 10-11, 2026

This is the second iteration of our HPDE season finale Fall is in the Air II. Registration will open August 27 th – but don’t delay! We always have huge demand for this event. Space in the instructed classes runs out fast. Don’t miss the last chance of this season to make the most of our fast and capable machines. Come on out and enjoy the fun!

Our last HPDE of 2025 is on the Weekend of October 10th and 11th.

Please join us - whether first timer or veteran. Our chairs, Jim & Marie Thorburn, promise plenty of excellent seat time, improved driving skills, great food and drink, camaraderie with our gear-head friends, and most of all – FUN! FUN! FUN!

We plan to have a Saturday night dinner to be the perfect finale of a perfect season. Details to come.

This event is an opportunity to support a very worthy charity. In memory of our departed son, Ben, we will be donating to the CU Foundation, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. It is a worthy cause and be generous!

Location: High Plains Raceway, 17 miles east of Byers on US-36 (Deer Trail)
Registration: Opens August 27th at 9:11am
Event Registration fees:
Either day: $250 Each Driver
Both days: $395 Each Driver

The club will provide refreshments for Beer:30 on both Saturday and Sunday.
Lunches for volunteers and instructors will be provided.
Lunchtime charity drives - drive the track at highway speeds for a $20 donation to our charity
Saturday evening group dinner available for an additional cost of $25/person. You can select this dinner option when you register

This Event will be using Deferred Billing, your credit card will not be charged until Wednesday, October 7th.

Dates: Gates open by 11:30 am Thursday October 8th, before the event and remain open 24hrs/day until after the event ends on Sunday (the paddock is closed Sunday night). HPR offers open lapping 1-5PM on Thursday and all day Friday. You can register for this on MotorsportReg.com. These open lapping days are a separate charge from the HPDE event.

Check-in: 7:00 AM - 7:55 AM Saturday and Sunday Please check-in before the mandatory 8:00 AM drivers' meeting.

Drivers’ meeting: Starts at 8:00 AM (each day) in the Pavilion. Green run group drivers' meeting following the all drivers' meeting, (each day) in the Classroom.
