About this event
We're bringing endurance racing to the world of electric karting!
RETURNING IN 2026!
- We've proven the concept with the world's first 12-hour electric race. Now, this new event brings a mid-season 6-hour race to the calendar with the addition of our combination indoor/outdoor track.
- The event will run rain or shine. If the outdoor extension becomes excessively wet, the race will run indoors until track conditions improve.
- Limited to first 10 teams signed up
RACE FORMAT
- 6-hours of endurance racing
- Timed pit stops with no minimum or maximum stop count - you choose your strategy
- Race direction will reverse at the half-way mark
- Arrive and drive electric go-karts with high-capacity lithium batteries for maximum performance
TEAM EVENT
- Teams must be a minimum of 2 drivers.
- There is no maximum number of drivers, but 8 drivers or less is recommended.
- Every driver from the team roster must complete at least one timed lap during the event.
SCHEDULE
- May 1: Registration opens. $100 deposit required.
- August 30: Online registration closes. Final team payments due.
- Friday, September 11 (Subject to change)
- 12:00: venue open.
- 4:30: pratice sessions (10-minutes each, optional - purchased separately)
- 5:30pm: driver's meeting
- 6:00pm: qualifying / driver introductions
- 6:30pm: green flag
- 12:30am: checkered flag
COST
- $900 per team entry

Note: Race suits, race shoes, and neck braces are optional equipment. Personal helmets are recommended.
Note: Practice sessions all purchased separately. This keeps the full event cost lower for everyone.
COMMUNICATIONS
- Team radios are recommended but not required. Each team will need to develop their own pit stop / kart swap strategy and communicate (verbally or non-verbally) to their driver
- Required: a device capable of accessing the battery telemetry website (laptop, PC, tablet, etc)
- Required: a device capable of communicating with race control via chat (can be the same device used for battery telemetry)
LIVESTREAMED
- The event is livestreamed on YouTube.
- Get creative and engage with sponsors to support your team!
- Team can be named after your sponsor
- Sponsorship logos will be displayed during driver introductions
- Request interviews during the race so you can mention your sponsor
- Place your sponsor on team jerseys or race suits
- Develop your own price/benefit that fits the needs of your sponsor
- Spectators are also welcomed on-site at K1 Speed

Event requirements
All drivers must meet the minimum requirements of driving at K1 Speed:
- Must be at least 58" tall
- Must be under 300 lbs
- Recommended under 6'4" tall
- Must sign or have valid K1 Speed Canton waiver on file (parent/guardian signature for drivers < 18 years of age)
- No driver under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or impairing drugs (legal or otherwise) will be permitted to compete
Event-specific requirements:
- Each driver on the team must be able to complete a lap in the indoor/outdoor circuit in under 40.5 seconds OR under 26.5 seconds for the indoor circuit.
- Any previous race completed at K1 Speed Canton will be accepted.
- For new drivers, this qualification must be completed at least 1 week prior to the event.
- The lap time can be set during any available arrive & drive session offered at K1 Speed Canton during normal business hours.
- If a driver is unable to compete races at K1 Speed Canton, lap times from other K1 Speed locations will be taken into consideration (contact us to discuss)
