About this event
You're invited to the premier gathering in the western USA celebrating the BMW 5-series! 5erWest began in 2010 as a way for like-minded enthusiasts to come together for camaraderie and a celebration of what we believe is the best Bavaria has to offer. The event is open to all BMW enthusiasts, so bring your car and a good attitude! Here's a brief rundown of the festivities. More info is available on 5erWest.com.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the event, so we are really excited to put it on and hope you can join us!
The event will be held in the Portland, OR area July 19-21, 2019. The main event is the show-and-shine at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone, OR on July 20.
July 19: Pre-Funk at Old Chicago (10300 SE Washington St, Portland, OR 97266, USA)
This event kicks off the 5erWest weekend. We all meet in the parking lot, get a preview of what some of the out-of-towners showed up in and then sit down together and enjoy some food and beverages. Meetup is around 6 and our reservation in the restaurant is at 7.
July 20: The 5erWest Show and Shine at Meldrum Bar Park (19 Meldrum Bar Park Rd, Gladstone, OR 97027, USA)
This is the main event. Parking starts around 10am. 5ers are parked according to their chassis and the Non-5ers can fill in from there. Judging is by people's choice and there are awards for each 5er chassis (subject to registrations), "Best in Show" and an award for "Best Non-5er." If you don't have a 5-series, it's still worth coming out as it's a great time in a nice setting. We will have food vendors on site. Event wraps up mid-afternoon.
July 21: The 5er Drive at Meldrum Bar Park (19 Meldrum Bar Park Rd, Gladstone, OR 97027, USA)
Meldrum Bar Park is the start point for this drive. Details and route for the drive will be forthcoming, but regardless of where the roads take us, it all starts here. Meet at 8:30 leave by 9am.
T-shirts will be available for purchase with your registration and also at the event itself. The design will be unveiled in the coming weeks on social media and 5erWest.com
Event requirements
Registration is only necessary for the show-and shine on July 20th. Cost per car is $10. Pre-registration is highly encouraged. You can register up to five cars on a single registration form. Please make sure you put the year and model in your registration. You do not have to own a 5-series BMW to enter the show.
You can also pre-order T-shirts. Pre-ordering, just like pre-registering for the event help us immensely with planning and ensure that we have enough shirts for everyone that wants one!
