This year's GGR Holiday Banquet and Awards will be held at a local Alameda institution, the USS Hornet, which is moored on the other side of the Naval Station from where we have held our autocross events for the last 15 years. Annual club, track and autocross awards will be presented during this great event.

There’s a lot of great history around this World War 2 carrier, which was designated a National Landmark in 1991 and opened as a museum in 1998.

The space we’ve arranged for our Awards dinner is the Officer’s Wardroom (in-doors), which seats up to 125 guests, with an option to expand our space if demand warrants (also in-doors). The proceeds from our rental, benefits the non-profit that maintains the ship and museum and we'll be using a local Alameda Catering Company, Pacific Fine Food.

Event cost is $75 per attendee and includes ship tours as well as passed starters, dinner and desert. A no-host bar will be available as well with local Alameda Beer, Wine and Mixed Drinks. A raffle will also be held with Porsche gifts provided by our Sponsor Redwood City Porsche.

4-6 PM: Mix and Mingle

The ship's gift shop will be open during this time as well

6-8 PM: Buffet dinner is served, followed by desert and coffee

Parking is free and available both in the lot directly in front of the bow of the carrier as well as the large lot directly behind.

Note access to and within the ship is only via stairs so please plan appropriately. Dress is casual.
