Event Information

Atlanta Motorsports Park is turning up the heat on Sunday, January 11 with the Tater Digger Derby — a high-intensity LO206 sprint race built for drivers who want fast laps, tight fields, and something a little different.

This event runs exclusively on AMP’s C-Track kidney bean layout, producing blistering 20–25 second lap times and nonstop traffic management. LO206 Senior and Masters ONLY. No juniors. No mixed classes. Just adult sprint racing.

🔥We’re spicing things up by switching things over to Vega Green tires instead of the standard Vega Reds.🔥

The Green compound brings:

• Increased grip

• A fresh challenge for drivers used to Reds

This is a one-day tire change designed to shake things up, reward adaptability, and add an extra layer of strategy to race day.

• 12:45 pm - Podium Ceremony

Schedule subject to change based on entries and weather.

Entry Limits

• Maximum of 12 karts per class

• Entries close once the cap is reached

• No exceptions — the cap is intentional to preserve race quality

• Senior Class: Age 15+

• Masters Class: Age 35+

• Spec Fuel: Renegade 93 from AMP Fuel Cell

• CIK Bodywork Only

• Official Briggs & Stratton 206 Ruleset (Current Year)

• Minimum Weight Classes:

  • Senior Light: 365 lbs

  • Masters: 395 lbs

Engine & Kart Rules

• Briggs & Stratton LO206 engines only

• Must comply with AMP LO206 technical regulations

• Karts and engines subject to inspection at any time

Tires

• Vega Green tires required

• No Vega Reds permitted for this event

Driver Safety

• Snell-approved helmet required

• Full racing suit required

• Gloves and racing shoes required

• Neck protection strongly recommended

Driver Expectations

Due to short lap times and a compact track layout:

• Avoidable contact will be penalized

• Clean, respectful racing is mandatory

• Race Director can remove any racer due to aggressive driving at any point with no refunds
