RMVR 2026 Competition Driving School
AS A STUDENT: This school is intended for those seeking a full Competition License with the goal of becoming an RMVR Licensed Driver in order to participate in wheel-to-wheel circuit racing. Students must provide their own race car. Driver's School will be run concurrently with the RMVR High Plains May Classic Race weekend. Students that successfully complete the Driver's School will race with their respective run groups on Sunday. Instructors can race Sunday as well with their participation centered around monitoring their student's progress.
If you are unfamiliar with this MotorsportsReg system (MSR) here are some instructions and hints. You need to have an MSR account with a completed driver profile to be able to register for the School.
Tuition is $595 and includes the following:
- Track access for 3 days
- Instructor (1 per student in most cases; no more than 2 students per instructor)
- Prerequisite materials
- Classroom instruction
- On track sessions and post-session debriefs with instructor
- Lunch Friday, Lunch Saturday, Dinner Saturday, and Lunch Sunday
- RMVR Annual Membership for 2026 and Competition License fee
The Registration Desk (to check in, sign waivers, etc.) in the HPR classroom and is open Thursday May 14th from 5:00P to 6:30P and Friday May 15th from 7:00A to 8:00A.
AS AN INSTRUCTOR: No entry fee to help! You too MUST register “As an Instructor”. Your 2026 membership and license will need to be current. NOTE - If you sign up as an instructor and end up not being needed for the Driver's School, your Marvelous May race weekend event cost will be charged at the Early Bird signup rate.

Event requirements
An Annual Tech will be required for all cars, Students and Instructors. PLEASE get this done BEFORE arriving for the School. Don't rely on the offer for an At-Track Inspection. That's for emergency use only.
Car and Safety Equipment:
Car and driver-worn safety equipment must successfully pass an RMVR annual tech inspection no later than May 1, 2025. List of tech inspectors and Tech Sheet can be found here:

Note - Cars log booked by other organizations need to have their annual tech done by the organization that issued the log book. Exceptions to this can be discussed with the CDI. Driver will need to provide proof of annual inspection (log book page) along with an Event Technical inspection Form at school check-in.
Driver:
Medical Form/Annual Physical: students will need to be "current" on their medical status per RMVR rules. Fill out and submit an RMVR Competition Medical Form - found here: https://rmvr.com/members/club-rules/
