2026 Colorado Grand Prix Vehicle Registration

High Plains Raceway

About this event

COLORADO GRAND PRIX

August 1-2, 2026

This August, Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing continues to honor the heritage of Road Racing in Colorado, with the Colorado Grand Prix. The Colorado Grand Prix was the pinnacle of SCCA pro racing in Colorado throughout the 1960s, 1970s, and into the early 1980s. Formerly hosted at the Continental Divide Raceways, the event was host to Formula 5000, Formula B, Can-Am, Trans-Am, and Formula Super Vees. While we may simply be borrowing the name, our racing spirit remains the same as the original. This year the spotlight is on Big Formula and Sports Racers, RMVRs newest run-group. These cars are some of the fastest of the weekend and always provide a spectacle! Unlike last year, the standard RMVR run groups will be in place.

HPDE drivers are required to have a valid drivers license issued by a state.

Any car is subject to additional inspection at RMVR's request. In addition to the car's annual inspection, registrants must present a self-inspection RMVR Event Tech Inspection Form at the track registration. See the Tech webpage for more details.

Special Guests and Exhibition Cars without RMVR or VMC-Affiliate Logbooks:

  • Production-based race cars with a logbook from a non-VMC organization that meet RMVR's eligibility requirements found in RMVR General Rule C.1.i are welcome to enter as Exhibition cars.
