The official schedule will be published by SEMM and may be adjusted by Race Direction as necessary.

1. Registration & Entry Fees

All teams must register through the official SEMM registration system before the event.

Entry Fee: $130 per team

The team entry fee includes:

• Entry into the 2026 Big Zax Snak 5-Hour Endurance Race Presented by Zaxbys
• Timing and scoring
• Westhold transponder rental

Registration Requirements

Each team must provide:

• Team name
• Team captain/contact
• Rider roster
• All participating bikes
• Required registration information for each rider

All riders must complete the required waivers before participating.

2. Bike Requirements

All bikes must pass technical inspection and comply with the Technical Requirements listed at ridesemm.org.

Maximum Bike Specifications:

• Max 125cc — 4-stroke, horizontal, air-cooled
• Max 144cc — 4-stroke, vertical, air-cooled
• Max 62cc — 2-stroke
• Electric — 72V / 5kW maximum

Any bike found outside these specifications may be subject to the penalties outlined in the Racing Penalties section.

3. New Rules for This Year

Multiple Bikes Per Team

Teams may use multiple bikes during the race, provided every bike:

• Meets all technical requirements
• Passes technical inspection
• Is properly registered and assigned to the team

Hot Pit

There will be one designated Hot Pit area rather than individual team pits, used exclusively for:

• Rider changes
• Bike changes
• Transponder swaps
• Refueling

No mechanical work or repairs may be performed in the Hot Pit. Any bike requiring mechanical work must be removed from the Hot Pit and returned to the team's designated pit area.

4. Race Start — Le Mans-Style Start

The race will begin with a Le Mans-style start on the front straight. Each rider must have a team member holding their bike; the bike may not be running.

At the start signal:

• Riders will run across the track to their bikes.
• Only riders may start their own bikes.
• Riders will proceed onto the racing circuit.

Red Flag During the First Two Laps

If a red flag occurs within the first two completed laps, the Le Mans-style start will be reset. The rider(s) at fault for the red flag will be moved to the last position on the starting grid.

5. Pit Stops & Team Procedures

Teams may use as many legal bikes as they wish during the 5-hour race.

Required Rider/Bike Changes

Each team must complete two rider/bike changes during the race. A change may consist of:

• Rider only
• Bike only
• Rider and bike

Transponders

When a team changes bikes, the assigned transponder must transfer from the incoming bike to the outgoing bike. For a rider-only change, the transponder stays on the bike returning to the circuit.

Only WESTHOLD/MyLaps-approved transponder mounts may be used. Transponders may not be worn in a rider's suit or zip-tied to the handlebars.

Refueling

Refueling must be performed with the engine completely off. During every refueling operation, at least one crew member must hold a fire bottle with the safety pin removed and ready for immediate use.

No exceptions to the refueling rules. Failure to comply will result in a 50-lap penalty.

6. Racing Penalties

Illegal Bike Protests

If a team believes another team's bike is illegal, it must protest to the Race Director in a timely fashion. Race officials will conduct a visual and/or technical inspection as appropriate. If the bike is found illegal, the offending team will receive the applicable lap deduction above.

7. Flags, Restarts & Delays

Red Flags

A red flag will stop the race.

If it occurs within the first two completed laps, the race will restart using the Le Mans-style start, with the at-fault rider starting from the last grid position.

After the first two laps, all red-flag restarts will use a single-file, sprint-style start:

1. All riders return to their designated pits.
2. Race Control determines the running order based on the lap immediately preceding the red flag.
3. The rider at fault for the red flag is moved to the last grid position.
4. A team captain is called to the control tower to confirm grid positions.
5. A 5-minute warning is given for riders to report to the front straight.
6. Riders line up single-file in the established order.
7. The race restarts.

There will be no warm-up lap for red-flag restarts.

Race Delays

If the race must stop for a medical incident, weather, track conditions, or another significant delay:

• Race Control will give a minimum 15-minute warning before the anticipated restart.
• Race Control may hold the race under red flag for up to 2 hours.
• The race will not resume if doing so would require racing past 11:00 PM and Race Control determines continuation is not possible.

Race Cancellation

If the race is permanently stopped and cannot resume, the finishing order will be based on the running order at the end of the last completed lap before the stoppage. Any rider at fault for the incident causing cancellation will be moved to the bottom of that finishing order.

8. Race Direction

Race Direction reserves the right to modify, alter, suspend, or nullify any of these rules at any time when necessary for safety, fairness, or the proper conduct of the event. Race Direction's decisions are final.

Overnight camping is free. Restrooms and showers are available. Gates will be open all night and into the morning; arrive whenever you like, but be mindful of others camping.

A concrete pit paddock area is available. Do not pit under the pit-out pavilion, and please do not pit near a 10A power spot unless you plan to pay for it. Plenty of overflow grass parking is also available.

 

Wristbands!

Everyone entering the facility will receive a wristband after paying the gate fee. You must wear it at all times. Anyone without a wristband will be asked to pay the gate fee or leave the property — this is a Lamar County Speedway rule, and we will enforce it.
