2025 PVGP Panther Hollow Hillclimb

Schenley Park Race Circuit

About this event

NEW RACE EVENT - PANTHER HOLLOW HILLCLIMB  For the first time the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is introducing a Hillclimb to the Schenley Park race festivities. The course starts near Phipps Conservatory and the Schenley Park Visitors Center. The intense 1-mile hillclimb with 147' in elevation (that's over 14 stories tall) will then charge through the historic stone-walled Circuit Drive, wind through the park up to the Bob O'Connor Golf Course where thousands of fans will cheer the driver to the finish line at the Neill Log House at the top of the Serpentine. PVGP Panther Hollow Hillclimb at Schenley Park

LOTUS MARQUE OF THE YEAR  It was 40 years ago when the PVGP decided to feature a marque to headline their various events. Lotus was the first marque to be honored as Marque of the Year in 1985. Lotus owners are encouraged to register their Seven, FJ18, 23, 51 and Elans to showcase these British racing legends on the racetrack.  Drivers are also encouraged to participate in the many festivities throughout Race Week.

MISSION The driving goal of the PVGP is to honor our automotive history by encouraging the preservation and racing of vintage cars in a format that emphasizes driver safety and etiquette while presenting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our drivers – all to raise valuable funds for our autism and Intellectual and developmental disability charity partners.

CHARITY Since 1983 our racers have shared the wheel with the PVGP in helping to donate more than $7 million to help individuals affected by autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Entry fees are suggested donations and are tax-deductible. Your participation is appreciated.

43rd YEAR The PVGP celebrates its 43rd year this summer. Many thanks to the racers who make this all possible and to the race side volunteers who keep everyone safe. This started as a single-day race on the Labor Day weekend in 1983 and has grown into a full two weeks of motorsport activities.

FRIDAY EVENING VIP/DRIVER RECEPTION  Your race entry includes two (2) tickets to the Friday "Evening of Speed" VIP/Driver Reception. Meet and mingle with the PVGP weekend honorees. Additional tickets may be purchased at a discount when you register.

SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER  Each driver and two (2) crew are invited to join our Saturday night driver reception at the track featuring an all you can eat dinner buffet with beer, soda and water. Mingle with the volunteers, PVGP event principals, your fellow racers and the corner workers that ensure your safety at this very popular post race event. For a $25 donation, purchase additional dinner tickets for family, friends and additional crew when you register.

HOTELS The PVGP enters into hotel partnerships with several nearby hotels. As of this time, the agreements for 2025 are not in place. Monitor the PVGP website for updates. Please be advised that the City of Pittsburgh does not permit overnight camping or occupying an RV overnight in the park.
