WMR "Majors at MIS" event

to be held at
Michigan International Raceway
 in
Brooklyn, MI
on
August 21 - 23, 2015
=====================================

Come out to Michigan International Speedway as WMR presents "The Majors at MIS" on Saturday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 23rd.  There will be a region sponsored test day on Friday, August 21st.  Don't forget about WMR's famous track dinner and attendee party on Saturday evening.

Download a copy of the Event Packet and open it in Acrobat (or right click and open in another tab or window so you can view it while making a paddock choice).  This document includes the following:
1.  Entry Packet (supps, schedule / race groups, officials, entry form)
2.  Registration Directions & Map
3.  Paddock Map (you'll need this so you can determine where you'd like to paddock for the event)
4.  A track map from 2013 to approimate the shape of the circuit.

In order to try and guide drivers to entering our event earlier, WMR is going to try a few different things this year.
1.  We're going to let drivers determine the run group order.  The first two class groupings that get 20 entries get to have the prime spots in the schedule (right before lunch on Sunday).  Once those two are determined, we'll fill in the rest of the schedule (see supp #7).
2.  We're going to use a feature of MSR called "deferred payment".  It allows an entrant to enter now and pay later (see supp #9).
3.  We're going to have a two tiered pricing schedule.  Enter before 6/30 and save $50 (see supp #3).
4.  We're giving away an entry to anyone who enters before 8/7 (see supp #8).

Garage, RV and Paddock information (download the paddock map by clicking here):

Garage Information:  There are two garage buildings from which we will rent stalls (G2, G3).  There are 34 stalls with adjacent trailer parking.  G2 has 12 of them and G3 has 22 of them.  All garage stalls are open (ie, there are no interior walls separating individual stalls).  Garage stalls will cost $150 and will come with a trailer parking spot next to the garage.

RV Hookup Information:  There is one large RV parking area in the middle of the infield paddock area.  Each parking space has a 20A and a 50A electrical hookup as well as water service.  The spaces set aside for entrants (as opposed to the ones set aside for workers) are 75' long and 15' wide.  If your rig is longer than that, please paddock for free in Paddock Zone J (sized for semis).  If you'd like to have your trailer (i.e., race car) with your RV, you MUST reserve two spaces so you'll have adequate room for canopies, etc.  The registrar will note that you need two adjoining spaces.  As you'll be in close quarters with other racers and workers, there will be no generators, compressoers, race motors, etc. after 10p in the RV area.

Paddock Information:  Due to the location, size, surface, there are a wide variety of paddock spaces available to the entrants of this event.  We have spaces vary in location (near grid, near ammenities, etc.), size (50' - 100' long) and surface (mostly pavement but some on grass).  All are free of charge.  But due to the fact that we have limited space inside the track, we have to be very scrupulous about where the entrants paddock.  To that end, we have required that all entrants pick a spot during the registration process.  This is so we can keep track of how many spaces are available at any given time.  Review the map and choose a Paddock Zone when asked towards the end of the registration process.

If you have any questions about any of the garage, RV or paddock spaces, please do not hesitate to contact the WMR Competition Manager (Dayle Frame at 517.575.9450hdf3.wtr80@gmail.com).
