About this event
The 2 Day racing school is a comprehensive class geared towards going racing. This class consists of threshold braking exercises, passing, and even race starts! Day one with start with getting the student accustomed to the cars and some fundamentals of driving open wheel cars. By day two the student should be ready to build on the skills from the first day and progress to open lapping (we might even allow passing)! No previous experience is required to enroll in this class. Although our cars are not standard H pattern, students should be proficient with the use of a clutch/manual transmissions.
Particapants must be over the age of 16. If participant is under 16, please contact John Speight at 615-400-3539 to see if they will qualify for enrollment.
While we like our participants to have an understanding of manual transmissions, it is not 100% required. We can give a short turtorial and help participants to get acquanted with manual transmission.
We have an array different size helmets and suits, but feel free to bring your own if you choose. Please wear thin soled shoes (think wrestling shoes), if you do not have actual racing shoes. Gloves are strongly encouraged.
