About this event

Come and join us for a mostly rural mid island adventure! Challenge your friends to join in, starting and ending in Duncan. It will be a fun day on scenic back roads, mostly paved. The trick is to “stay on time” to avoid any time penalties. Remember, this is not a race, but a precision driving event that pits a team of two, a driver & a navigator, to negotiate some fantastic roads, at challenging, but below legal limit speeds. Sure, it sounds easy, but it’s not! This is a true novice event, so everything is clearly spelled out, with easy to follow instructions, recovery points if you get lost, and talented rallyists with years of experience to (hopefully) get you into rallysport, by answering questions and giving guidance. From the "Novice Drivers Meeting”, scrutineering (checking that your car meets rally rules; also called Tech Check) your car, throughout the event, to the dinner and awards, you will have a BLAST! Smiles and stories, guaranteed.

With snow already partway down the local mountains on October 12, it may be prudent to have M&S rated tires for this event, however, the route does not involve driving on a designated M&S tires required roadway.
