NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS
Hello VMF10 Racers, Safety Crew and Family,
We hope you and your family are well, and we look forward to getting back to racing at Thompson this year!
Our event this year will take place starting Thursday, June 22. (This is a day later than usual because the Whelen Tour Modifieds will be running at Thompson Wednesday June 21.) We will load in on Thursday morning, and the test day will be run by the track on Thursday, scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Registration for the test day is via the track web link or the "day of" at the track.
To offset any inconvenience from the delay, the track has offered a test day for $75 for each car/driver. So that is three days on the track for $575 - the best deal out there and lots of track time! Also, by popular demand we will again be doing a dinner in the Speedway Clubhouse with a program that will include driver awards.
With such low costs, in order for this event to be viable we will need a strong car count. Please join us, spread the word, and encourage others to attend this great "grass roots" event.
On a personal note, I have recovered from the crash last year, acquired a new race car, and will have it on display at the event. I look forward to working with the team and seeing all of you at VMF10.
And again, our partners at the VSCCA and the entire VRG team would like to thank you for your loyalty. We look forward to seeing you at the track soon and wish all the best to you and your families. I promise we will have some fun in 2023!
Sincerely,
Mark
Mark E. Gunsalus
VRG Event Chairman, VMF10
