This Regional event will start Saturday morning with 12 minutes qualifying sessions by race group. 18 lap or 23 minute races for NYSRRC, NJRRS and NARRC points. Drivers can also “Double Dip” for a low entry fee (Double Dip is one driver entered in more than one group for the event applies to 2nd & 3rd entry).

The Northeast Division Executive Steward, Earl Hurlbut will host a Club Racing Town Hall during Lunch.

Formula Vee Festival 2011
Last year drivers went home with over $3500 in awards. This year should be no different with every driver getting at least 1 or 2 items from the Raffle Style Drawing. Lunch will be supplied. Event requirements
License- a SCCA Regional or National license or signed off Novice permit or any license listed in 3.1.5 of the GCR is eligible for the Regional Races
Entry-Entries may be made on-line via Motorsportsreg.com or by mail to the Registrar listed on the form. The Early Entry Fee for the John Stim Regional is $270 for Entries received before 6/28/11, 2011. After that date the Regular Entry Fee is $300. Double Dip Early Entry Fee $200 Regular $230. “Double Dip” means one driver entered in more than one Race Group. The Double Dip Entry Fee would apply to the 2nd or 3rd entry.
Any mailings to the registrar must be “signature waived”. Payment by Check is the preferred method of payment. A $25 fee will be charged for all checks returned unpaid from the bank.
There is an additional $10 compliance fee for all SRF & FE entries.

Medical Information- All drivers must have an updated medical information packet attached to their helmet. Packets are available at tech.
Registration Credentials- All event participants must register during scheduled hours and meet waiver requirements. All drivers are required to have a Medical Information tag attached to their helmet.
Minors- Minors under 18 years of age must have the appropriate SCCA Minor Waiver signed by parent or legal guardian and appropriately witnessed.
Crew-Your entry fee permits access to the track for the driver(s) and four crew members. Over crew passes may be purchased from Lime Rock personnel at Registration. Only the driver, entrant or crew chief can add or change names on the crew list.
Refunds- Any entry which does not set a tire on the track is eligible for a refund. The driver or entrant must notify the registrar in writing no later than 10 days after the event. If you paid online through Motorsportsreg.com, there will be a $20 cancellation fee; otherwise there will be a full refund.
Cancellation- If unusual circumstances warrant, the event organizers reserve the right to cancel/postpone this event. When possible, all entrants will receive advance notice of such action with advice on refund arrangements.
Track Rules-The Chief Steward has the authority and the responsibility for enforcing all rules contained in the GCR, the event Supplementary Regulations and Lime Rock Park Rules.
Scrutineering and Impound- Log Books and proof of Registration must be presented at pre-race Tech. If you have a 2011 SCCA Helmet sticker, it is not necessary to bring your helmet. Scale times will be posted at tech. Impound per the GCR.
Paddock- Speed limit for all vehicles is 5mph; all traffic signs must be obeyed. Traffic in A Paddock is one-way as posted. Traffic in the Sunoco Paddock is two-way. Any person operating any vehicle must be licensed and do so in a safe manner. There shall be no parking of vehicles on paddock roads. Tow trucks and Ambulances need access to all areas of the paddock.
Unmuffled Engines. No unmuffled engines may be started prior to 9:00 am on Saturday, except to be driven at idle speed to the False Grid. Engines may be idled for the purpose of warm-up at 8:45 am
Pits & Grid- Pits and Grid are restricted to SCCA members, 18 years and older with appropriate credentials. Smoking is prohibited. Participants in these areas must have closed toe shoes, and sleeved shirts. Shorts are permitted on the Grid and behind the pit wall. Trackside signaling may be done after the cars have taken the green flag. (This includes restarts.) No refueling in the Pits or Grid
Lights-A yellow strobe light is installed on Drivers Left approaching the uphill. It will only be used to indicate a waving yellow flag at Station 8 (top of the uphill). This also indicates the start of the NO Passing Zone.
Oversubscribed Race Groups- If the number of cars entered in a Race Group is higher than the numbered allowed on course, every effort will be made to move cars to a different Race Group. This may mean that you will race earlier in the day. If the number of cars cannot fit in a Race Group, qualifying for the group will be split, per GCR and the fastest cars in proportion to the polesitter in their class will qualify. Every effort will be made to have a non points, no trophy consolation race for any non qualifiers.
Timing and Scoring– Only official timing lights are permitted within 30 feet of Start/Finish. Results will be per GCR. Qualifying and Final Results will be available at the base of the tower.
Transponders- Transponders are Mandatory. All cars must be equipped with a working AMB Tranx260 transponder. The Transponder # must be given to registration.
Sound-LRP sound limitation is 103db. Cars over 103db may be penalized.
Every attempt will be made to notify offenders as soon as possible. Track events may, however, make that impossible. It is the driver’s responsibility to have a compliant car.
Damaged Vehicles-Any car which has sustained structural damage must be taken to Impound for inspection. The driver of that car must report to Race Medical.
Injuries- To be eligible to receive medical benefits from our insurer, any participant who sustains an injury ( no matter how small ) must go to Race Medical and complete a Green Card.
Black Flag- will be displayed at Start Finish and Station 7( bottom of uphill-drivers right), if possible. Black Flagged cars must report immediately to Pit Center.
Last Lap Signal- Whenever possible, the last lap in a race will be shown by the Starter displaying a sign with the number one to the field. This display, or lack thereof, is non-protestable and informational only.
Victory Laps- Victory laps may be allowed. No more than 2 crew members may accompany a driver on a victory lap and they must be inside the passenger compartment.
Race Clock– At the Chief Steward’s discretion the race clock may continue to run during a Red or Black Flag condition.
Start Judge- A Start Judge will use video at the start of each race. If it is determined that a competitor jumped the start, a CSA ( Chief Stewards Action ) with an appropriate penalty will be issued. This CSA, like any CSA, may be protested.
