Event Requirements

This is NOT a Racing School, but an opportunity for new drivers and experienced drivers to sharpen their skills on the road and on the track.
1. Event organizers will make the final decisions regarding run group assignment.
2. All drivers must fill out a separate registration.
3. Helmets must be Snell rated M 2000 or SA 2000 or later.
4. Drivers are financially responsible for any and all damages they cause to the facility and its parts. The only insurance covering you and your vehicle is your own.
5. Car numbers will be assigned and provided by the organizers.
6. Novice, intermediate, advanced and instructor run groups will be used.
7. Approval to participate as an instructor must be obtained prior to registering. Approval can be granted by any of the chief instructors or by the event organizers. Instructors in good standing will be sent the “Instructor Code” when registration opens.
8. Each run group will have 4 on track sessions with each session lasting 25 minutes.
9. Priority for registration will be given equally to Badger Bimmer and Milwaukee Region members. Members of the 2 local clubs will be given priority for registration over those that are not members of the 2 local clubs.
10. Passing rules to be used during the Blackhawk events:
a. Novice group – 1-7, 5-6 and 6-7, passes always on the left with a point
b. Intermediate group – 1-7, 5-6 and 6-7, passes always on the left with a point
c. Advanced group – 1-7, 1-3, 5-6 and 6-7, passes on either side, based on direction of point
d. Instructor group – Anywhere, any side with a point
11. Tech inspection forms will be required from all participants. A short tech inspection will be performed at the track. Event organizers reserve the right to bar any car from participation that is deemed to be unsafe.
12. An “Intro to DE” program will be held during each event. Up to 6 participants will be accepted for this program for each event. For a charge of $25 each participant will receive an on-track ride with an instructor and may attend the novice classroom sessions. Instructors giving rides must be approved by one of the chief instructors. Registration for “Intro to DE” will be accomplished through www.motorsportreg.com. Participants in the program must make arrangements for an approved helmet for themselves.
13. Passengers (students in an instructor's car or instructors in a student's car) must have available and wear an equivalent restraint system (belts/harnesses and seats) to what is being worn by the driver.
14. The minimum age for any driving entrant is eighteen years. This minimum age also applies to anyone riding with an instructor.
15. The organizers reserve the right to deny participation to any car that is deemed not to meet the safety requirement of the event.
