Things you should know before bringing your car to the tech day:
Convertibles
- If your car is a convertible, but does not have a competition approved 4-point roll bar, it will not be issued an inspection sticker
- If your car has factory roll bars, we're always wanting to look at them in person... but chances are, it will not be issued an inspection sticker
- Hard top convertibles are still convertibles
Race Cars
- If your car has been prepared to specific club racing rules, but you do not have a CURRENT safety inspection log book, please sign up
-
Even WITH a current log book, TZC/THSCC still requires the following:
- High Density roll bar/cage padding anywhere a driver's or passenger's head might possibly impact
- Mounted fire extinguisher within reach of driver or working fire suppression system
- Race harnesses not older than 5 years (using SFI date of manufacture) and/or non-expired FIA labeled belts... mounted properly of course
- We do not recommend novice drivers use race cars for their first few events, especially with race tires in place. We do not allow lead-follow instruction in novice groups, so the vehicle must have a passenger seat that meets all safety requirements
Helmets
- TZC/THSCC requires the use of Snell 'SA' rated helmets for all events. Currently, we accept SA2000 and SA2005 labeled units. Beginning January 1st 2011 we will start requiring SA2005 & SA2010 only.
Please download, print, and bring with you the TZC/THSCC annual inspection form, located here:

If you have any questions, most can be answered by viewing out tech guide, located here:

If your questions still can't be answered, we should be able to answer them on site, or you can email Mark Vitacco:
