Welcome to The Great Ice Cream Run 4 (TGICR 4), another Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club (THMMC) adventure dedicated to MINI owners who love to drive and who love locally made delicious ice cream!

Due to the demands of non-MINI life events, the event's regular organizer, Robyn Resch, is not available to lead the run this year. To keep The Great Ice Cream Run’s spirit alive, some THMMC members have decided to organize and lead the run for her this year.

The routes for this fourth version will be slightly different than what we did in TGICR 3 held in 2011. We will make stops at our favorite ice cream parlors from past runs and add some new ones along the way from Staunton, VA to Bar Harbor, ME. The event will span 5 days, sandwiched between two other large events - the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour and MINIs on Top. The route will take us from Staunton, VA to Gettysburg, PA to Port Jervis, NY to North Chelmsford, MA to Freeport, ME and end in Bar Harbor, ME. In addition to the awesome motoring, and at least 3 ice cream stops daily, we will be visiting the Antietam Battlefield and the Gettysburg Civil War Museum and doing some additional sightseeing at some of the old lighthouses in Maine.

We are designing this registration experience to allow you to register for one or more days of the event. While the diehards will make all 5 days, some will join for one or more days as their schedules allow. For those joining the tour on route please note the motel where the group is staying that night and meet us then or the next morning for the drivers meeting.

The Great Ice Cream Run 4 forum on the THMMC website (TGICR 4 forum) has been updated with route, hotel, and ice cream shop information for all days of the run. We have made arrangements for group rates with each evening's hotel. Event requirements

Thank you for your interest in the Great Ice Cream Run 4. We appreciate you taking your time to register. Some information to help you with the process:

Registation for this event will cost $5 per attendee, and $2 for passengers needing nametags and lanyards.

A registration package is planned to include the following items:

Nametag
Lanyard
Vinyl Sticker
Printout of daily route and ice cream stops

If you have a passenger(s) and the only extra things you want for them are lanyards with nametags, you can get a passenger package that only includes a lanyard and a nametag.

A final note - you are welcome to join or leave the tour at any point. It is up to you to figure out where and when we may be passing through somewhere that will enable you to get hooked up with us. Detailed information on our hotel, resturant, and route choices can be found on the THMMC web site in the TGICR 4 forum and the THMMC Facebook page.

T-shirts are now being handled as a separate item. So if you order a registration package, don't forget to add a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for ordering until 5/16/13. Below are the pictures of the t-shirts for this year.
