CenDiv Double Drivers School / Single Regional Race
Chicago, Blackhawk, Land O’ Lakes, and Milwaukee Regions

April 29, 30, and May 1, 2011 – Blackhawk Farms Raceway – Rockton, IL

Sanction 11-DS-1473-S, 11-DS-1474-S, and 11-R-1475-S

A. CenDiv Double Drivers School / Single Regional Race, Blackhawk Farms Raceway, Rockton, IL.

April 29, 30, and May 1, 2011.

B. Sanction # 11-DS-1473-S and 11-DS-1474-S Double Drivers Schools and Sanction # 11-RS-1475-S Regional Race.

C. This event is organized by the Blackhawk Valley, Chicago, Land O’ Lakes, and Milwaukee Regions of Sports Car Club of America, Inc. (SCCA) and will be held under the SCCA General Competition Rules and Fastrack updates, except as amended by these Supplemental Regulations. The regional race is open to all SCCA Novice Permit holders who have satisfied the school requirements, to current holders of SCCA Regional, Vintage or National licenses, and to SCCA members who hold other SCCA approved licenses, per the GCR. The Drivers Schools are open to all valid SCCA Novice Permit Holders. Drivers with valid Regional or National Competition Licenses may enter the Driver’s School with Chief Steward approval prior to submitting entry form.

E. This event consists of two one-day driving schools and a one-day regional race. The regional race is scheduled to have a 25-minute qualifying session with 22 lap races. Race Groups are reflected on the Supplementary Regulations Event Schedule pages.

I. Race results and trophy distribution will be per the GCR and Fastracks.

K. Other information:

1. Mandatory Tech (GCR Re-inspection): All cars participating in the Drivers Schools must be presented for full technical inspection before going on the track. Please plan your time accordingly. There will be no GCR Re-inspection for the regional race portion of the weekend.

2. Functioning AMB TranX 260 transponders properly mounted to the competition vehicle are required for all sessions for all race classes. Transponder times are official times for all race groups.

3. Requests for waivers of second Driver’s School must be submitted in writing with appropriate documentation (e.g. driving resume, copies of certificates, licenses, etc) to assigned instructors prior to the first on-track session on the morning of the driver’s first school.

4. Drivers who complete their school requirements on Friday or Saturday must return to cross-over Registration in the Tech building to register for the Sunday event in order to be allowed on track.

5. Radio frequencies 452.700, 457.700, 461.150, 461.325, 462.200, 463.700, 464.075, 461.175, 463.225, 464.525, 466.175, 468.225, and 469.525 are reserved for race operations and may not be used by any competitors. The Region reserves the right to designate other frequencies for race administration.

6. When entering the track from the pits, drivers must keep their cars to the right of the blend line up to corner 1. When leaving the pits, scrubbing of tires is not permitted until past the apex of corner 1.

7. Proper credentials, closed shoes and shirts are required in the pits, grid and false grid areas.

8. Smoking is prohibited in the pits, grid and false grid areas.

9. Noise Pollution Regulation: No racing engines, including showroom cars with open exhaust, may be run before 9:00 AM or after 4:30 PM on Thursday or Friday. No race engines may be run before 8:00 AM or after 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Maximum sound reading allowed by local ordinance is 102dB. During the race you will be black flagged after 3 sound violations and moved to last finishing position with a loss of event points (if you had a race finish).

10. Drivers may be held responsible for damages to property, including track and environmental damage.

11. FE and FM tire markings will be available on the false grid before qualifying session for the regional.

12. In the event a yellow flag is required for pit lane only, a yellow flag with a board reading “PIT LANE” will be displayed at corner 7. A “PITS CLOSED” sign will be displayed at the same location if the pit lane is totally blocked.

13. Black flags, mechanical black flags, and sound violations may be displayed at Corner 6. The black flag steward will be located near the end of the pit lane.

14. Checkered flag will be displayed at start and Corner 6 for all driver school sessions except the practice starts.

15. This is a CenDiv Championship Series double-points event. Preregistration is required for participation in the series. Once preregistered you will be mailed the new 2011 series stickers. Prior year stickers are no longer valid. Series rules, including regional-only car classes, can be found on the CenDiv website at

16. Blackhawk Farms Raceway rules.

i) All minors must be under direct parental or acting guardian supervision at all times.

ii) All pet animals must be leashed or confined.

iii) No two- or three-wheeled vehicles are allowed except for race officials’ use or as race support vehicles (race car number and class must be displayed on these vehicles). Only licensed drivers 16 and above may operate race support vehicles or golf carts.

iv) All trash must be placed in receptacles provided. Environmentally hazardous waste must be disposed of in appropriate receptacles. All used tires must be removed.

v) Electric power is available. Tags for the outlets will be issued at time of plug-in and payment arrangements can be made either with security or in the Pit Stop store.

vi) All drivers, members, officials and spectators must comply with the Pit Vehicle Policy of Blackhawk Farms Raceway; including the purchase and display for a Pit Vehicle Pass for each unit present on the premises. Passes may be purchased at the Pit Stop store.
