About this event

Following the tradition started in central NH by Audi enthusiasts that continues with NAAC members once working from the driveways, your NAAC club offers mechanically inclined members the opportunity to save money doing their own timing belt service with support from one of our club's member garages. This event has become a model for the ACNA nationally and luckily is in your back yard!

Come be part of our historical chain spanning from 2005.

Each year this event fills up quickly and is the opportunity for an ACNA member to save upwards of $1,000 on their timing belt service.  Audi recommends different intervals for each model engine, so check your owners manual, and if your mechanically inclined and have decent tools, bring them to do your timing belt in the surroundings of a shop with special tools, local knowledge and years of experience to lean on.

4 cylinder, inline 5 to the V8 and entire turbo range have been done at this event in the past.  Lee and his staff at Advanced Technologies have done so many of these, they've lost count.  So if you have a question during your work, they are around to answer it.

The scope in a nut shell:

  • Sign up thru our motorsport.reg link from NAAClub.org
  • Obtain parts through Lee and/or Victoria at Advanced Technologies in Gloucester (978) 282 5544. .
  • Bring tools and supplies to the shop.
  • Disassemble needed components and some body panels to get at the motor to service the timing belt and other accessories.
  • Get some pointers and time savers from the experienced on hand.
  • Learn reference points and carefully reset your timing while installing new components.

Then experience the ever popular; "re-assembly is the reverse order of............"  Reassemble, torque, test and recheck parameters bringing your major operation to a close.Pat yourself on the back after gaining experience, confidence and the applause of your fellow members on completion of your job well done.  Then, think of the money you saved!

Come join us and sign up TODAY, then make your part arrangements with Lee or Victoria @ (978) 282 5544.
We do ask, because of the long service interval time and complexity, to not do the 3.0 motor

See you there!
