THSCC Non-Points Autocross

NCCAR

About this event

Information

This will be another awesome autocross on the VDA and road course of NCCAR in Garysburg, NC. This will not be a small looping course we have set up in years past... Instead, we plan on using the VDA and some small portion of the road course to make a fun, fast, 60-ish second course. Launch overlap is GREAT with this configuration too, so expect a decent amount of runs and a well run efficient event. Cost will be $10 higher than usual due to the increased site rental costs, but should be well worth it. $35 for preregistered, prepaid members, $45 for everyone else. You must register online to be emailed the the gate code which will allow you onto the site! We are deferring payment until registration closes, so if you register and find out you can't make it please let us know and we will cancel your registration so you don't get charged.

Check out some videos of the previous event where we used the track as well to get an idea what this event will be all about:

THSCC is evaluating MotorsportReg as its registration system for autocross events, and this is our trial event. Feel free to provide us with feedback as to your experience using this system, and any ideas on how we can make it better. Thanks!

Event requirements

Your car should be teched BEFORE the drivers meeting. To pass tech, you must:
  • Clean out any loose items in the car, this includes cell phones cables, garage door openers, loose change and such.
  • The battery has to be properly secured.
  • If your floor mats are not physically attached to carpet, they will have to be removed. We don’t want the floor mat to bunch up under the brake or gas.
  • Hubcaps and center caps on wheels should be removed. If your hubcaps mount to the wheel and are held in place by the lug nuts, then they can stay on, otherwise they should be removed.
  • Have a SNELL approved helmet, 2000 or newer (M-rated or SA-rated). We do not accept DOT-only approved helmets any longer.
It is your responsibility to:
  • Check basic fluids such as oil, coolant, and brake.
  • Make sure you torque the lug nuts to manufacturer's recommended tightness.
  • Make sure you have no active leaks on the motor, tranny or diff. Oil on the track is a bad thing.
  • Check tire pressure. If you don’t know what to set it to, ask ASAP.
  • You WILL experience greater than normal tire wear. Your tires MUST be serviceable, meaning they have appropriate tread, no chords showing, etc.
