N.W.A.A. presents DRIVE TO SURVIVE - COME HOME ALIVE!
2013 YOUNG DRIVER'S ADVANCE SCHOOL APRIL 12, 13, 14 2013
Our signature event is an advanced driver skill building day for young adults. This will be our 10th year providing a skill building experience for young people, in their own cars, to help save lives
This school is open to any licensed or permitted driver from 15-21 years old. The applicant needs to have a suitable car, we cannot allow lifted or high profile vehicles, but most street sedans and many 2 wheel drive trucks can qualify. We frequently get donated cars for students whose car cannot qualify for all maneuvers, but this is on a case by case basis. Students may share cars up to 2 per car
Friday evening our students attend a ground school at north west natural under the bridge in Astoria at 5 pm. Saturday we pair the students up with experienced high performance drivers from racing and law enforcement, to spend the day in a series of extreme driving experiences. These experiences build from simple panic stops to emergency lane change and accident avoidance drills.
