NCC Simeone Automotive Museum
28 September 2013
We will visit the Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. The museum contains over 60 of the rarest and most significant racing sports cars ever built. Every fourth Saturday the museum has a "Demo Day". The Demo Days, which began in 2009, feature extremely rare racing sports cars from the Simeone collection being driven on the three-acre lot in back of the Museum. A brief lecture by Dr. Simeone on the importance of the cars and their place in history precedes each driving demonstration.
On the day we will visit they will have have the Ferrari collection out for the Demo Day. The museum is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911. Visit their website for more information. http://www.simeonemuseum.org.
For our cheese steaks we will stop by Max's Steaks. I grew up equidistant between NY & Philly. I have been to every popular known cheese steak joint in Philly including the tourist traps, Pat's and Geno's. I have to say that by far Max's is the best so far.
Max's however is not in the best neighborhood. Myself and Chapter President Paul have been twice (once with our significant other) and we have not had any issues. Max's has a great parking lot next door. Read the below reviews for more insight.
After visiting Simeon and Max's, take a visit to Reading Terminal Market or Penns Landing or the steps at Museum of Art. Plenty of things to do in Philly.
We will depart the Cracker Barrel at 1440 Handlir Drive Bel Air, MD 21015 at 0830hrs. I will be at the Cracker Barrel at 0730hrs for breakfast. It is highly recommended to eat before we leave. See everyone on 28 September. Don't forget the EZ-Pass
