Join the Shenandoah Region PCA on Saturday, October 15 for this year’s Fall Foliage Tour. (Please note that the date has changed from the originally planned October 22.)
We will rally at the far end of the Food Lion parking lot in Gordonsville and depart at 10:00 AM to take the beautiful Blue Ridge Turnpike (Virginia 231) to the outskirts of Sperryville. Our route will take us through car-fantastic twists and turns, past incomparable mountain scenery, and through the picture-book villages of Old Somerset, Rochelle, Shifflet Corner, Madison, and Peola Mills.
We will end our journey at the Headmaster’s Pub (http://headmasterspub.com/) in Sperryville, where the management and staff say they can’t wait to see us and our cars. We will order off of the menu and pay for our own meals. Please register so that we can give the Pub a head count.
In close proximity to Sperryville, which has some great shops and both a high-end single-malt distillery and a craft brewery, are Little Washington, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Luray Caverns. Numerous overnight options, ranging from moderately priced motels to the elegant Inn at Little Washington, are available. What better way could there be to rejoice in Porsches and Virginia?
Our Fall Foliage Tour will be held rain or shine.
Severe weather will cancel.
In case of cancellation, information will be posted on the Shenandoah web site at http://shn.pca.org/, and registrants will be notified via email.
