Welcome to round 5 of the 2013 Reno SCCA Time Trials season, a combined Performance Driving eXperience / Club Trials / Track Trials Event / Alternative Driver School / and INAUGURAL Club Race Experience on the road course at Reno-Fernley Raceway
Performance Driving eXperience (PDX) is non-timed lapping in your own car, with an emphasis on learning. Instruction will be both classroom and in-car. No previous experience required. Most street legal automobiles and some classes of race prepared cars are allowed. Open top automobiles must have removable factory hardtop installed, factory rollover protection or an SCCA Time Trials approved rollbar.
All participants shall wear shoes which fully cover the foot at least up to the ankle. Helmets are required while on course and must meet current or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA2010, SAH2010, SA2005, SA2000, M2010, M2005, M2000, K2010, K2005, K98. SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A or British spec BS6658-85 type A/FR are acceptable.
Club Trials is a timed competition for fastest lap, open to almost all street-licensed cars and those prepared to Solo Street Prepared or Street Mod or Race prepared to Improved Touring specifications. Open top automobiles must have removable factory hardtop installed, factory rollover protection or an SCCA Time Trials approved rollbar.

Track Trials is a timed competition for fastest lap, open to all cars prepared to Time Trials Level 3/4 or full race preparation. Full safety gear required including fire suit and race spec helmet are required.
Alternative Driver School limited to students that have prior experience in track events or club racing. Students must obtain an SCCA Club Racing Novice Permit and attend a ground school prior to this weekend. Contact Dave Deborde, d_deborde@charter.net or (775) 450-1394 for specific procedures. Full Club Racing driver safety eguipment is required including an approved head and neck restraint device.
Club Race Experience is an opportunity to get on track and participate in wheel to wheel racing in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. Cars should meet SCCA Improved Touring, B-Spec, Spec Miata or SRF specefications and driver safety equipment. Head and Neck restraint devices are highly reccomended but not required. CRX drivers will be required to participate in either Club Trials or Track Trials for observation before being allowed in the race. CT or TT entry is included in the entry fee. A transponder is required for the CRX and CT/TT sessions.
ALL CARS MUST PASS SAFETY INSPECTION.
Approved helmets required, limited loaners available.
SCCA membership required; weekend memberships available on site for $15.

Transponders are available ($25 rental fee) at Reno-Fernley Raceway events
Registration and Tech Inspection open at 7:30 a.m.
